Amazingly good tapas at surprisingly good prices. What's not to love? If you like meat, get the lamb with mint couscous. If you like fish, get the grouper. If you're vegetarian, you should probably go somewhere else.

What an excellent restaurant, especially if you've just visited Park Guell and need somewhere local for lunch. The service was really good from start to finish. It's a menu where every thing sounds appetising, but our highlights included the Tartare of Scallop & Mackerel, Grilled Octopus and the Slow Cooked Lamb. One to two dishes per person is perfect. It is an excellent place for a nice lunch or dinner. Price is fair and quality is excellent. Great place for a casual lunch or a casual dinner.

We visited La Panxa last Friday evening and were amazed by the quality and creativity of the dishes. Our waitress explained everything well and made sure we didn't over order. Now that's a first...Menu was in English too which helped. It's in the Gracia neighborhood, packed with locals so be sure to get a reservation. Quite simply you cannot go... More

Very creative and good tapas. Not the typical ones (which I love), but more like small creative dishes, all really good. Staff is very friendly

The food here was a bit different to other tapas places I'd been to. The menu has a wide range of dishes which seemed a bit more exotic to other restaurants. The octopus is delicious and so is everything else. The staff very friendly and helpful.

Perfect place to taste very creative and diverse tapas. Efficient and colorful service from the Italiano-catalan women owner. All the tables are high level spacious tables with confortable seat. As it is a small place, better to book or arrive very early (20:45). The squids were fantastic. Great desert too!

I find it difficult when reading the negative reviews to believe those reviewers ate in the same restaurant as I did. Piddly complaints about the language options on the menu, perhaps they need reminding they are in Catalonia and not Spain!! My experience with a group of six friends was a pure delight, super staff, delightful food and great atmosphere.... More

Staying in Gracia

Neighborhood Profile
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the center, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theater that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
