Our focus since opening in 2013 is to deliver plates of really tasty tapas from top notch ingredients. Inspired by French bistros, we are a fun and boisterous place to enjoy a great dinner with friends. Located in the heart of Barcelona’s Gothic quarter, the dedicated team of Sensi Bistro makes an impact on the city’s tapas scene by offering exceptional service and meticulous attention to detail to every guest, making the SENSI experience unlike any other. Sensi Bistro had been recommended to me by a friend after they discovered I would be visiting Barcelona and it definitely did not disappoint, straight away I liked the feel of the place it was very warm and welcoming, the staff were very friendly and attentive, great music, great atmosphere and there was a nice buzz about the place.
The menu was fantastic and every dish we ordered was incredible. Could not fault a single thing.
Definitely a highlight of our time in Barcelona and we will definitely be back next visit.

Sensi Bistro was recommended to me by a gentleman I work with. I was there by myself on the last night of a business trip. Great choice, the folks that waited on me were friendly and him gave great menu suggestions. I had the Ravioli, Pork Loin, and the Mussels. All three were outstanding. The Mussels especially. I have eaten at some very good restaurants on this trip, I would say the mussels are one of my favorite things. I enjoyed the Ravioli as well. The pork was probably third out of this group but still good, it was a bit sinewy in one spot.
I drank a sangria which tasted a little drier than some of the ones I had previously. This was actually welcome since ally of the sangria you get has way too much sugar in it. This was solid.
Here is why I like tapas, you get a good variety and it leaves room for dessert......tiramisu.
I wrecked it in all of 1:15. Very nice.
Almost a 5 but just not quite. Very well done though.

Visited here on a short trip to Barcelona, booked in advance and although we had to wait at the bar for our table to be ready (only because it was so busy) we were given a complimentary glass of prosecco whilst we waited. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and you get the impression that they enjoy working there and get on well as a team which always makes a big difference for me. The atmosphere was great, really attentive staff, the food was delicious (definitely recommend the pork loin in spinach and the brocoli souffle!). We also had a glass of sangria each which was lovely but very strong! And were given a complimentary tequila shot! Value for money was excellent and I would 100% recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.

They should place a TOURISTS ONLY sign on. Place is for all foreigners who are not familiar with Spanish food and restaurants or for first time visitors (nothing bad about it): Here a summary of strange things going on there: 1) it is absolutely unusual to ask for a minimum of 2 tapas per person. No restaurant or bar outside of tourist places would ever do this, 2) they don´t include the VAT (IVA) in the prices in the menu. The only purpose for this is that they show prices at an artificially lower price, 3) Cooks and most of the waiters are not from Spain, 4) most of the tapas are not typical Spanish tapas and in no way authentic, 5) they sort of force you to tip the American way (10-20%). They take advantage of Americans, Japanese, English, Australians etc. because they are used to tip. You should know: Spaniards don´t leave any tip or only very small amounts, never ever 20%!! You ruin the Spanish tipping culture by leaving more 6) They sometimes pretend to get mad and impatient if you don´t consume enough or don´t go with their "recommendations". They know you might not come back or only come back one more time and they know that people from the US and abroad are polite and would follow their "recommendations". Please please don´t write reviews on "authentic Spanish food and service". This restaurant is 100% for people with little or no experience of Catalan or Spanish cuisine pretending after their visit to have been in "the best restaurant" or using phrases like "what else do you wish for" etc. Well: I wished for better food and that they had treated us professionally when we visited. Their knowledge about wine is poor and the waiters are full of themselves, especially if you know more than them (which is not hard). It was a disappointment to eat there. Overpriced and average food in a noisy and crammed place with little atmosphere and you can here the "bling" of the microwave frequently. There are hundreds of more interesting places even in Barcelona and if you put in some effort you find them.

We are very sad to read your comment, as we feel that you have had a very bad and unreal Sensi Bistro experience. To start, as it is said in our name, we are a Bistro tapas restaurant... and therefore we try to do something different and create unique tapas with a spanish, french, asian and south american twist. We have never promoted ourselves as "typical spanish or catalan food".
We proceed to respond to your comments:
1) We do not ask for a minimum 2 tapas per person consumption.
2) Our prices do include the VAT (IVA), as you can see on our website.
3) We are very happy to have a multicultural team, coming from all over the world, including Spain and Cataluña.
4) As you can see on our menu, we have some classical tapas, but as mentioned previously, our goal is not to do all the typical tapas that are made everywhere... we like to create something different and unique , with a gourmet touch.
5) We never force anyone to tip... in Spain, if you want to tip you do, and if not, you don't.
6) We are proud to have a very profesional staff, and we like to provide recommendations to help our customers to decide... but we never force anyone or look bad at someone for making their own choices.
One of our most important goals is to make sure that every customer has a great experience, enjoy our tapas and have a friendly service in a cozy and warm atmosphere.
All our dishes, food and sauces are homemade, and our chefs take a lot of time to do so with love. We also have a very profesional team that works very hard... and therefore we find your comment very disrespectful regarding our team. Even if you don't agree with other customers, our team or our concept, there is no need to show a lack of respect.

We had a reservation at 9:30 and showed up on time.
They noticed us waiting after 10 mins and told us that people were paying and we could sit after.
10 mins later nothing.
Very poor service experience, the food looked good on the website but expansive as well.
I guess we will never know how the food tastes.

Unfortunately what you are saying is not true. We did welcome you at 9:30pm and mentioned we had a little delay and will give you your table as soon as possible. Unfortunately, at 9:40, when your table was ready to be set up, you decided you didn't want to wait any longer, and didn't even give us a chance.
As you could see, our restaurant is a very small restaurant, and unfortunately sometimes we have some delays. We do try our best to avoid this and make sure everybody gets a table on time. We are very sorry we had a 10 minute delay in giving you your table... believe us , we tried our best! (I think you saw this!)

Despite many positive reviews we saw here, we were disappointed by the experience at Bistro Sensi. Inattentive staff - we called, they confirmed that they would have a free table in ten minutes, did not remember our discussion when we arrived and we waited for ten more minutes outside. We ordered, received the drinks, the same waiter asked if we already ordered food even though we had ordered with him ten minutes ago, after approximately twenty minutes another waiter came and took our order again. I asked what happened with our order and she did not even apologize. Food was decent but the poor service determined us not to recommend it further.

we visited the second in this chain and wasnt disappointed. The ambience was really nice, service good and food was really great. 5 to 10 euro paella plates with a difference. Caprese salad, Pork ribs, Fake lasagna (more like potato dauphinois), Tomatoes stuffed with beef and lamb. All very good quality. Highly recommend

I have eaten at Sensi Tapas a few years ago and had a fantastic experience so I was very excited to try Sensi Bistro and I was not disappointed.
The service is fantastic and the menu is really well appointed. We were a group of 7 so asked for a selection of dishes to share, which were all very good. The sea bass and the ravioli were highlights for me, however all the dishes were excellent.

Great restaurant. I originally tried to make a reservation for a different Sensi restaurant (hours before) but they were booked for the night. However someone texted me back and was able to get me into Sensi bistro the same day. Waiters and staff had excellent Recommendations. We got the salmon, ravioli crane, tomato bread (only 3.5 and delicious, would recommend adding it your order), and the cut ham platter. We will definitely visit again on our next trip.

We came here on a Friday night during a city break. I had seen it mentioned online when looking up restaurants but we decided not to book anywhere that night. It was very full but the staff squeezed us in. They provided some great recommendations, all the food and wine we had was fantastic and reasonably priced too.

Must visit in Barcelona!! The tapas are so delicious. Between me and my friend we shared 5 tapas and they all arrived to the table at different times, so we were able to enjoy each one without feeling overwhelmed. I would definitely recommend making a reservation in advance as we booked day of and there was only space at the bar. Although sitting at the bar was a great time because we could interact with Leo the bartender and watch him make drinks! I would 100% recommend the squid ink paella, the bravas potatoes, the salmon, and the suckling pig croquettes

We walked into the restaurant which was full. The manager greeted us as we asked if there would be a table for four free shortly.
He told us there will be in about 20 minutes and suggested if we go down the street and get a drink at a bar near by, he will come and find us as soon as it’s free.
Within 15 minutes, there he was, smiling and told us our table is ready as soon as we are!
Once seated, the excellent service continued and the food was absolute amazing.
Probably the best tapas I’ve ever had. I’ll be bringing my friends back here when we return later this year.

We had very tasty food dinner. All dishes are in size of tapas, mainly home made and interesting mix of ingredients. With other words - delicious. Stuff was polite and knew English. Prices are high, but in accordance with quality.

The food was really good, just like the atmosphere. Only thing was that we had an early reservation, and when we wanted to order something after 1,5 hour, they said we only had our table for 5 more minutes because of the next reservation. So we needed to hurry up with our dessert and bottle of wine. Other than that great food.
