Made the day

Well, Barcelona is a town with many sights. You have to walk a lot in the gothic quarter and if you need a break and a snack this is the place to go. My daughter was tired and decided to have a 'Bretzel' here. She was so excited about the tasty 'Bretzels' that the whole family joined in and we... read more

Because they're baked with love, these pretzels can't be but extraordinary! Wonderful covrigs (people should learn their name!), great place, perfect service. Thanks Preziola, we promise to be back asap! PS: please save me a load of garlic pretzels, they're pure heaven!

Great pretzles, original flavors and very cheap (1 euro for a pretzel!!!). The shop window is designed with snow constantly falling, which gives a romantic and prestigious atmosphere to the place. I would say the only con is that there are not many chairs to sit inside the shop so you have to eat standing.

I think I've literally had one every day this week! They are fresh baked and if you get them while they're still warm they are the perfect snack. If you happen to be strolling past, don't miss out.

This place does a great job on the classic german style pretzel with butter and salt (1.50€) and I also really enjoyed their parmesan/garlic pretzel (1€). They also offer fresh baked natural breads, all without additives! Check them out and their many flavours. Great job guys!! <3

My daughter and I were lucky enough to visit Pretiola many months ago and over the past few months we've tried almost every pretzel from the store. The pretzels are excellent - my favourite is the laugenbretzel con mantequilla, my daughter's the 'pretzel football'. To make sure we always get our 'fix' Saturday is now pretzel day in our house... After eating hundreds of pretzels in America this does not even deserve the name. Hard and tasteless.

Dear Sir, Since we’ve opened this store, we are using the same traditional recipe for our pretzels (we are not using additives or preservatives for the dough), the same cooking time and we are baking fresh new pretzels each day, every 2 hours. We do this because we know that our products, as they are made with natural ingredients, don’t... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
