The menu is great. A surprise with tapas and drinks makes it all very easy. The tapas the house chose were an amazing mix of foods and flavors. I said yum each time I moved to the next dish. The service was amazing. Always smiling...and checking on me multiple times. Highly recommended.More

This is a lovely place with a set menu that's well-priced for the amount of food. Very tourist-friendly; multilingual staff. Our dinner companion, who grew up in Madrid, thought the food was just average. With such a high rating, we were expecting to be bowled...over, but we were merely full. You won't leave hungry, but you may not be as impressed as most reviewers here.More

We read previous reviews and arrived just before 7 so did not queue to get in. We had the €50 for 2 people menu which is the same as the €40 but with additional bread, cheese and meats. This was more than enough food for...2. It was all delicious, served by friendly and attentive waiting staff. Although they are highly efficient and it is a small restaurant and had queues, at no point did we feel rushed through the meal. Would highly recommend.More

We were given the choice of 40 euros or 50 euros for 8 tapa dishes for 2 people. We were told if we had a food allergy or something we didn’t like we could swap. To be honest, I didn’t care for most of them....My favorite is tapas bravas and that was not in the set of eight. The sangria was average. Service was average. Would I return or recommend? Probably not.More

Super place to eat Tapas not far off La Rambla, very popular indeed. We initially took a look about 5pm (not planning to eat) and were advised by the friendly waiter to come back about 7 if we didn't want to queue. Good advice(that we...didn't take), we arrived at 7:45 and there was a substantial queue. We had to wait about 30-40 mins for a table, you can't reserve. Definitely worth the wait however, 8 'surprise tapas' (all of which were superb) came to 40 euros, and 10 euros extra got us a large sharing plate of bread, meat and cheese. Staff were very friendly and attentive, spoke an amazing array of languages!More

We would highly recommend Bodega Biarritz. The Manager was very helpful and friendly. All the staff were friendly and made it an enjoyable evening. We enjoyed the food and drinks. They offer a set menu (cheese/meat plate, followed by about 8 tapas and a drink)...for 50 euros. We found the food very filling and very good. The restaurant was very cosy (we started at the bar (like most diners) where they took our order but very quickly a table was available and we were moved to a lovely dining area. Thank you for the lovely staff.More

What an amazing experience! Cozy, dark and busy. We had bar seats and were served through a window!? So unexpected and amazing. The food was incredible and the service was five star!! Loved the mango mojitos and the set tapas menu was the best we've...had in Bacelona. Definitely vist this amazing spot in the Gothic Quarter.More

It’s not that this place is bad as such, it’s just totally average and nothing special. I just don’t get all the hype on Trip Advisor about the place, as quality of food wise it’s no better than any of the tourist tapas restaurants around...the city. Also has to go down as the quickest meal I’ve had in my life, they really know how to turn over the tables in this tiny place fast!More

The restaurant is tiny which means they have to get you in and out fast!! It was a set menu of €50 euros. The quality of the dishes was lacking, as was the flavour. It felt and tasted more like cheaper Chinese food than authentic...tapas. The toilet door is right next to where you eat. There are much nicer places which make you feel less rushed and with much better quality food. Both of us felt unwell later in the evening.More

On our recent trip to Barcelona we decided to try the restaurant as we had seen reviews raving about this place - how good the food was, how good value it was, that the ambience was good. Well, safe to say we were thoroughly let...down. In that we were flat out refused service. Three of us were at the restaurant this day - myself and my two sistrers. One of my sisters has a severe allergy to eggs to the point where it's life threatening. None of us speak Spanish enough to confidently relay the severity of the allergy and be sure that it would be varied through, so, two of were going to share the famous two person meal while my sister would sit with us and have drinks. When we asked a staff member about this we weee told flat out to our faces first (and I quote) "for three it will be a very long wait" followed bu "but since there is three, we can seat you if you buy for four". So of course we weren't buying for four people if only 2 were eating. We then asked how long the "very long wait" would be and instead of an answered were told, and again I quote "every seat is too valuable and we can't seat three if you're not buying for four". So we turned around and left. We understood that restaurants want to make money - but on top of our food and drinks my sister was planning to buy drinks/cocktails which would have been a considerable sum since they weren't cheap. They wouldn't have been losing money. So in short - even though I didn't get a chance to sample the food now I wouldn't ever even want to. To tell someone to their face essentially "if you're not willing to pay for food you can't eat then you're not worthy of being in our restaurant" is extremely distasteful and frankly bad customers service.More
