For my 40 birthday we eat here. Excellent dishes with raw seafood and fish with different sauces. Good service (can be better) and excellent food and tempos. Choices: foie with mushroom carpaccio and tuna, all his variants ( toro, cooked, with caviar, parpatan...). Enjoy the place!!!

We visited this restaurant after visiting the national museum of Catalonia at Mont Juic. It's an easy walk from there but not touristy at all. We probably weren't dressed appropriately (shorts/tennis shoes since we walked several miles that day) but they sat us anyway. We ordered four different tapas and some wine and they were all fantastic(extensive wine list). I'm... More

We stopped here by accident on the way to the magic fountain. It's pricey but really good. We only had a tuna carpaccio and a bass which we shared and a nice bottle of rosé. For dessert the tarte tatin was original and really good. The service was friendly and professional. You can spend a fortune here if you want... More

We has been several times in this restaurant since more than 20 years; the quality of the food is always top, with the Espai Kru grow a steep. Service and wine list is also superb. However I think that the decoration needs a renewal. The prices of the dishes are very expensive , take care if you don't want have... More

Business dinner. Choice menu, among them oysters, sashimi, unbelievable tomato tartar I have not tried before anywhere. Is it one of the best places in Barcelona to try sea food? Probably yes. Good - i.e. accurate - choice of wine. Professional service where you have a feeling that what is offered is really the best (not the most expensive). Prices... More

Went to this restaurant after having read the many wonderful comments on TripAdvisor and it was indeed a great experience. Although we did have a look at the menu, we definitely wanted to try the tasting option (including 10 different dishes) is a must do! It was a wonderful experience indeed, served with care and creativity. Perfectly selected tastes, combined... More

We went there for lunch and had a fabuloius meal. The taste of the food, the presentation and service were superb. The highly of our meal was the labster salad and the Lubina, both excellent. We highly recommend it.

Met two friends in Barcelona prior to a cruise, and went to Espai Kru to meet up with their local friends. Our new local friends had been to the restaurant only once, and were so impressed decided it was where we all should meet. The restaurant has 2 levels, and is intimate, but not crowded. Had an excellent waitress, sorry... More

Booked this restaurant for a wedding anniversary dinner. It turned to be one of the best gourmet experiences I have ever had. Maybe I was not expecting too much of a raw bar and to my surprise it serves exceptional, delicate and surprising food. We sampled and shared more than 10 platters and all them were outstanding. Do not miss:... More

The upstairs of Rias de Galicia becomes a "sea" of little dishes, more casual, more fun, more imaginative, and more economical. A modern setting, with a kitchen bar where chefs prepare many dishes in front of customers. Two Rías in one. The menu has two parts. The main one based on elaborations without fire, is an anthem to the "product". And a second one where we discover the fire.

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
