What a fantastic place for dinner - make reservations for a table in the back, get some Catalonian regional wine and dive in - all seafood dishes are delightful and it's ok to eat Rice once in a while when the food is this good. Cod fritters and local cheese plate was a perfect starter and bigger tapas plates had... More

Thoroughly enjoyed dining in their outdoor space today while in Barcelona on business. The green salad was absolutely beautiful with pansies, mixed greens, and the tiniest little garden vegetables ever (carrots, radishes, etc.) all mixed with a delicious vinaigrette. (Photo submitted.) We also devoured their amazing gnocchi with truffles, the best croquettes yet in Barcelona (and we've tried a few!),... More

Had an early reservation so the restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived so we enjoyed a little tour of all the cool decor. This is a beautiful restaurant. Our waiter made some fantastic recommendations. We started with the tuna teriyaki (tartare). It was the best I have ever had. Then we had the beetroot and the potato (souffle?). Both... More

Better book a table for this one, you don't wanna miss tihis restaurant. It's like tapas goes Michelin mixed with a New York cocktail bar. We turned up without reservation and was lucky to arrive early, got a table overviewing the bar. Great entertainment with a most dedicated bartender mixing drinks and cocktails with a professionalism and care rarly seen.... More

Came here while exploring El Born neighborhood for the menu del dia. For around 17€, one can have a five course meal beautifully presented with wine, water and coffee. Service was variable, first time I went the waitress was very attentive. Second time I had 3 different waiters.. But the food was consistently good.

Found this recommended restaurant in Travel + Leisure. Great food, cocktails, and atmosphere. Great tapas with a twist! Located in the El Born district which has great restaurants, bars, and local shops. Make a reservation....you won't be disappointed.

What a way to start our holidays in Barcelona!!! This restaurant is great! Perfect location, Excellent food, great atmosphere and our server was exceptional. He looked after us and brought the food in a very timely manner, spacing the tapas so we have time to enjoy it all, very knowledgeable of the menu and wine, talkative, funny and profesional. Sorry... We had dinner here on our first night in Barcelona and I can't think of a better way to have started the trip. The atmosphere was great- comfortable but contemporary- the staff was very friendly, and each dish was better than the last. Great wine selection and tasty desserts too! A must visit!

We have been in Barcelona about 5 weeks, and this is our favorite place so far. Escape the traditional touristy tapas here... the tuna app is incredible, the beet carpaccio was delicious and light, the grilled veggies were crisp and the cocktails..... perfection. We were so over the food in Barcelona until we came here! Also mentionable is the staff...... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
