About
Located on one of the most beautiful squares of Barcelona, Ocaña restaurant has brought the yesteryear essence up to date in a space which recaptures the beauty of the original 1850s architecture, incorporating fine furniture in noble materials - old chandeliers, wooden floor from a church, velvet armchairs from the Hotel Lutetia in Paris - and works by contemporary artists. Ocaña’s cuisine is tasty and direct without any artificial sophistication. It is based on the quality of the products. The dishes are inspired by the Catalan gastronomy and incorporate a nice dash of fusion elements. With a simple but surprising cuisine and a selection of liquors which leads to great discoveries, Ocaña is

We were with 6 people and ordered 3 different paella’s. All 3 paellas were dark brown and tasted like burned! A disgrace, stay away!!

8 years ago we discovered ocaña when we went to Barcelona in our honeymoon. Great people and great food was all we needed and found @ Ocaña! Now 8 years later we took the same trip with our 2 little children and off course we...could’nt miss Ocaña and it’s delicious patatas bravas! Still a big fan!More

Great location and atmosphere on the patio, but the food was just okay. The Seafood Paella was very disappointing ; dry and lacking in flavor (go to Salamanca if you want great Paella). The Carpaccio and the seafood soup were good but not great. The...New York Sour was a good drink. We had a nice evening on the patio but I would probably skip it next time.More

I reeally enjoyed meeting with friend in here. Tried seating inside and also outside. Outside you can enjoy the views of square, inside you enjoy more the ambient and vibe of the place. Tried their burata salad, greatly seasoned with oil and vineagar. Drinks are...great, also the prices are reasonable. Dont forget to visit the bar in the basement, it has such cool vibe.More

Sat waiting for a waiter for 15 minutes. Waiter ignored us a few times whilst trying to order drinks. Went inside to ask if could order at the bar as waited so long. Waiter pointed to someone outside and then rudely talked to someone else...mid conversation. Waste of time going there. Not that I'm bothered about being just a number in a tourist packed area but when the table next you is also trying to help you flag down a waiter so you can get served its a bit much. We eventually walked off.More

What a place! Unbelievable. We ordered a couple of tapas and a paella with a couple of cokes each. The total meal came to just under €40. The paella was €16. This was well worth it. The paella we shared was their take on a...pork paella and it was absolutely delicious with some prawns and some croquettes. Everything was delicious. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. The wait staff were excellent and I would highly recommend this place if in Barcelona.More

Such a nice place to sit down after a long day of exploring the city. Located in a lovely square with tables inside and outside. Delicious food, fun menu and tasty drinks. What more can you ask for?

Wow!! What a gem to stumble across! Off the beaten track but only just. On a beautiful square where we watched the world go by as the sun went down. Great welcoming service and a delicious menu, some of the translations kept us amused! My...husband had one of the best steaks he has ever had and the crème brûlée was perfect. Highly recommend.More

Thought the restaurant looked nice. Should have known it is a tourist trap! Food must have been pre cooked and re heated to explain how chewy the calamari was. The wrong food was also brought out to us. When the bill came we explained that...we did not want to pay for the food we didn’t order, the waiter was very rude saying “yeah you already said that” when I was explaining what was wrong with the food. Only redeeming factor was the manager who apologised and removed the in ordered item from the bill.More
