This place is full of locals (it is located in a really chilled residential area - Gracia) and has a very cosy vibe. The portions are very generous and the food tastes amazing. It is a really nice spot for breakfast/brunch or to get xurros amb xocolata.

This is the perfect place to experience a typical Catalan breakfast. The place is cosy and people are super nice! The only problem is that it is sometimes a bit croweded and you have to wait to find a place to sit.

20 minute morning walk with my daughter to the Gracia neighborhood from La Sagrada Familia neighborhood,,well worth the search for this quaint little restaurant..tucked away in a residential side street.Lots of locals here. Big portions on the food -which was delicious.. lots of little kids drinking hot chocolate and eating xurros..families playing board games,,,they let you sit and eat, play... More

This wholesome café was our evening destination and where we had our farewell to Barca' brunch. Their coffee, cakes, snacks and ultimately hot chocolate you could eat were all first rate. If you're staying in Gracia area, go check this place out if you need gluten free and great tasting café fare.

We went with the 4 of us. Nice and crowded place. In the back a zone for families with kids. Hot chocolate was super thick and I 'd say at least 70% cacao. Bit too intense for my taste. I had a bikini which was delicious. We had to wait a lot though and by the way the staff reacted... More

Tasty cakes and wonderful hot chocolates with a lot of cream. During the week it's more chill and you can even play some boardgames, however during the weekend expect a lot of cute children playing around, definitely a family place

I went there for a coffee and cake with my friend. It's a huge chaos place. People with families, nosiy, kids screem, parents are loud. I don't recommend If u wanna chill out right there. My chocolate cake was so dry. The only plus was whipped cream - which is homemade!!! Coffee was just ok. To pay u have to... More

ok, so savoury dishes are available too, but if you are in here chances are you are serious about the cakes, churros and suizo. we ordered a couple (a couple couple) of sweet delights to maximise the number of things to be sampled and nothing disappointed. like many small cafes in the city, space is somewhat at a premium so... La Nena has a very tranquilizing, mellow atmosphere, afforded by a colorful and quaint decoration, and overall very well taken care dining rooms. You can seat and read for hours while drinking one of their great smoothies, hot chocolates or teas. Their food menu is simple, with a very high quality offering of sandwiches, quiches and salads, and among them... More

Staying in Gracia

Neighborhood Profile
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the center, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theater that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
