Good spot for a light lunch or full meal. We had both. Pured vegetable soup was good as was the full lunch deal of caesar salad, chicken and rice, a 375 mL bottle of very cold vino and creme brule.

Stopped for an early afternoon meal. The service was slow and poor. Staff were more interested in ensnaring passing customers than attending to the ones they had. Food was greasy, poor quality, way overpriced and lacking in taste. My advice - pick somewhere else!

Last visited about 8 years ago, I went out of my way to find it again. Pure and simple, the food is very nice, the staff very polite, and very good value for money

Found this restaurant on the first day of a three day stay. Ended up eating here twice. We went with the set dinner menu. Wife is a coeliac. Was not a problem. 15 euros got us three courses plus a tea or coffee. Plenty of choices for each course. I had toasted goats cheese wth a raisin and tomatoe salad... More

You know, this place could really show up many others, except: The chicken and potatoes was just that, no other vegetables, sauce or anything. Suggestion, just add a small side salad and I would happily pay 3/5 euros more. As I was with a party of four there is more. My wife chose veal and got a very nice beef... More

The food we had was average - starters were good but the mains were greasy and they had run out of a lot what we wanted for mains and desert (including ice cream!) But the night was ruined by the appalling service of the waiter who decided it was a better use of time to sort table clothes than serve... More

The waiter was unhelpful and even openly hostile to me when I wanted to add a dish to our order. The duck was very good, but the rude waiter ruined it for me.

We went to the Cafe on Las Ramblas and sat in the open air cafe in the middle of the Ramblas. If you want a great Sangria and a wonderful Paella, this is the place. The staff was friendly and it was nice to watch people go by on the Ramblas as we ate. I cannot say enough about their... More

I was invited to have lunch here: the experience was not so bad, but I have had better food and luch experiences in Barcelona. The service started quickly and I thought that it would be surprisingly good, but after taking our orders they forgot our drinks and we had to ask again once the food arrived. Food itself was good... Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
