Prices are deceiving and food is inedible! Found a hair in my Paella! Good selection of wines tho. Nice rose. Waitress is friendly. Another waiter who got us the bill tends to argue! He had an attitude problem.

Originally I intended to go to the legacy Mariscco in Gracia but suddenly I came across this new branch in Plaza Reial. I spoke to staff to make sure that this was another branch of the good old Mariscco and it turned out that it...More

Mariscco is a lovely restaurant in Placa Reial square. The food was good, we just had starters though so cannot comment on the larger menu. But the service was ridiculously slow. The staff were friendly enough but it took 30 mins to take our drinks...More

My guess, it all depends what you choose to eat. Go local and it should be fresh. We had the prawns, octopus, razor clams and a spiral courgette salad. The seafood was great but the salad was amazing!! We sat outside and the atmosphere is...More

This restaurant is located at Praca Reial, nearby the Ramblas. It is one of many restaurants in that Square. But I think that can be better options than this one. I tryed a "linguado a la plancha" and it was cooked in too much oil....More

Worst restaurant and food we visited and ate, we sent one of the dishes back, couldn't even cut It with a steak knife, replaced it with a prawn dish. When we had the bill the waitress had told us that the bill had been changed...More

The location is stunning and the restaurant may have a reputation for seafood but the vegetable paella was inedible. An overwhelming taste of tomato, vinegar and soggy, overcooked rice that took ages to arrive. We didn't eat it and when the bill came they never...More

In the heart of the Gothic neighbourhood on la Plaça Real, the Mariscco Reial restaurant is located in a Renaissance-style building dating back to 1850. This historic site has housed a diverse range of activity, such as the Gran Cafe Espanyol, and later the Pedagogic Museum of Natural Sciences and taxidermy workshop. Respecting the original architecture, Mariscco Reial offers the chance to dine inside a wide, open space, with high ceilings and eclectic scenery, or alternatively, outdoors under the Plaça Reial porticoes and the lamp posts designed by Gaudi. Mariscco Reial is open all-year-round, and boasts a cosmopolitan atmosphere, with a case of seafood and fish showcasing the delicacies available. Serving Mediterranean cuisine, Mariscco Reial serves high quality, fresh produce, which is prepared to the guest's taste. Specialities include rice with lobster sauce and prawn soup, or the climate-controlled cellar showcases a wide selection of wine.
