My wife, two children, two friends and I ate dinner here in January 2017. Mariscco Reial is located on the charming Plaza Real. The plaza was illuminated with holiday lights and a fountain in the center. We ate outside as it was warm enough. My wife and daughter had lobster paella and I shared vegetable paella with one of our... More

Nice fish - fresh and well-cooked. However, portions are quite small. This is a tourist-oriented restaurant and if you're prepared to walk a bit, you'll get better value elsewhere.

Went to the other marisco in barcelona and couldn't fault it. Five of us chose our fish and it wAs cooked to order. This place is a totally different kettle of fish. (Excuse the pun) Took my partner for birthday meal, it was awful!, €60 later wished we'd been anywhere else. Avoid this place whatever!!

It was hard to choose one of restaurants on that square. But I'm sure that it's the BEST one! Despite its location prices are reasonable. Food is tasty. We ordered 2 salads, sea bass, entrecote and seafood soup. Soup was soooo amazing! Even if you don't like soups - try it! You will fall in live with this taste. But... More

I visited this restaurant around 18 years ago, and it was great find after all this time it was still there. Just sitting having a meal and watching the world go by was amazing, you have a great sense of being in the heart of the city. The food was excellent, although I only wanted a light bite and a... This place should be closed, permanently. Starters of fried calamari and chips were nothing less than pre-packaged frozen crap pulled from bags and dropped in a microwave...the seafood ravioli was a disgusting mess of oil and 'sauce' with indeterminate seafood inside. The 'burger'...don't know where to start with this one, meat of a quality that would not pass for roadkill,... More

We were looking for somewhere to eat lunch and the Placa Reial had a number of restaurants around the square. We chose the Mariscco because we could get a table outside in the sun which is really nice at the beginning of December. The service was friendly and attentive and they had a nice selection on the menu which specialises... More

We were well looked after here. We were having tapas for lunch & the waitress was very helpful with our ordering. I thought it would be fun to try a couple of things I've never had before: sea snails & razor shell. We had a bit of fun over a lazy lunch on our first day.

Among the many restaurant in Placa Reial Mariscco stands for the quality of its seafood. I was brought there by spanish friends for launch: sitting under the nice loggia, in this lively Placa, it is a delight to have a rest and taste a very good quality seafood plates. Service may be not the best, as the restaurant is crowded... More

In the heart of the Gothic neighbourhood on la Plaça Real, the Mariscco Reial restaurant is located in a Renaissance-style building dating back to 1850. This historic site has housed a diverse range of activity, such as the Gran Cafe Espanyol, and later the Pedagogic Museum of Natural Sciences and taxidermy workshop. Respecting the original architecture, Mariscco Reial offers the chance to dine inside a wide, open space, with high ceilings and eclectic scenery, or alternatively, outdoors under the Plaça Reial porticoes and the lamp posts designed by Gaudi. Mariscco Reial is open all-year-round, and boasts a cosmopolitan atmosphere, with a case of seafood and fish showcasing the delicacies available. Serving Mediterranean cuisine, Mariscco Reial serves high quality, fresh produce, which is prepared to the guest's taste. Specialities include rice with lobster sauce and prawn soup, or the climate-controlled cellar showcases a wide selection of wine.
