Best gelato I've ever tasted. Try Nutella, Crema Catalana and Kinder...amazing and huge! 3 ice cream balls were 3.9eu but they are really huge!

We ran across this Gelateria when strolling through "La Rambla". And this was definitely one of the best ice creams I have ever eaten! Not cheap - but it's worth it!

We were walking thru Barrio Gotico and found this small place nestled in a corner building. We had an amazing breakfast, on the sweet side though, with good crepes, waffles and great coffee. The gentleman behind the counter made our experience unforgettable. He was genuine, welcoming, talkative, and funny. We don't remember his name, except that he was from Andalucia.

Strawberry, pistachio, coffee is what we tried. Best ever! None of that fake taste or color. Only then will you realise what a true gelato is! Mustn't miss it. A must when visiting this part of Barcelona.

We have, so far, tried the lemon (good, could be sharper for my taste), nocciola, good, rocher (as in Ferrero) good too, crema catalana good, but NUTELLA wins all the prizes going. Lip smackingly great. At just under €4 for two scoops, it isn't cheap per se, but it isn't as expensive as sitting down and having an ice cream... More

Great gelato, perfectly rich and smooth. They have a good variety of flavors, we tried chocolate and pistachio and they were both excellent. The place is very cute and the staff were friendly and efficient.

If you want real Liege waffles, made to order with whatever toppings you like, Giovanni Italian Gelateria is THE place to go in Barcelona. The gelato is superb and the waffles are crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. I had my waffle with After Eight gelato covered with chocolate. To die for!!! YUMMY!

While you can't really go wrong with gelato, some places just stand out. Gelateria Giovanni is one of these places - great service, excellent selection, open late, good value for money, lovely location. You can't go wrong stopping for an ice cream here. PS The Nutella option was out of this world.

Thank Roxana T
