We were seated on the patio last night, and the atmosphere was very nice and bright. But our waiter took a very long time to get our order, and when he came over he kept playing with his device. I think it is a gadget for menu service, but while I was trying to order he was fidgeting with it,... More

We stayed in the hotel nearby. The food was ok. We ordered picu picu menu for 2 and it was definitely sufficient without anything on top. The cold tapas were very good, hot - not so good-too bready and missing taste. But the pkace is open till 3 am, which is hard to beat when everything around closed.

We chose it because of the terrace without looking for much information before. Service was fine, nothing to complain. Food was basic, we tried the mussels, which were fresh and nice sauce but weren't well cleaned... basic tapas ok but wouldn't come back. Didn't try the rice which many were eating so cannot comment. Overall I got the impression of... More

I really dont understand all the negative rewievs because we are sitting hear for two nights in a row and it is fantastic! Food is very good, drinks are excellent and service is as professional as it can be. Big screen to watch the football and emotions are high! Absolutely would recommend it! :)

Location is convenient - near the port, on the way from la barcelonette to gothic or ramblas. They serve a lot of dishes. We ordered seafood pasta at 2 AM, to be honest it may be far better, but at least we didn't leave hungry. People are drinking and chatting outside, the atmosphere is easy. But at the daytime there... As Barcelona is a bit of a late riser, this was a handy spot to stop and have a coffee & croissant after an early morning walk along the harbour.

So if you're looking for something to eat and want a lot of variety (from fish to pasta - fries to tapas) this is the place to go! Ambiance was amazing, I loved the location which was situated on a main Blvd in Barcelona near the port, the ambiance but was just great and food ... Fantastic and better yet,... More

Well I'm hoping all the work the microwave does it gets a wage. We should have been warned when another couple left half their food, but we had waited until we were very hungry before eating. This should have helped, but even then we couldn't eat the pizzas we ordered. My wife remove all of the mushrooms as they were... More

Stopped for a quick lunch: * Tasteless fried calamari, probably frozen * Tomato bread was even worse - toasted stale bread with some kind of ketchup thinly spread over it. The only positive thing to day is the bear was cold. AVOID!

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
