Got there after all the recommended restaurants we planned to go to had a huge line or were full, and accidentally came across this place. The bartender welcomed us, and after a few minutes of waiting we were sited at a nice spot. The waiter was very nice and explained everything with a smile. we got two courses for each... More

Mere words are not enough to rate this restaurant From the moment we walked in the door we were looked after like VIP's To start you really must have a Blackberry Mojito their signature cocktail in the words of She Who MUST Be Obeyed its to die for. The menu is is not too expansive which to me is always... More

Lovely small restaurant with exceptional dishes. Everything we tried was so delicious. I wish the serving of ceviche was larger, it was heavenly. The location is a little bit hard to find but really worth the effort. Don't go there without a reservation.

Great dining experience! Had the ox fillet tataki, cod confit and a red/blackberry mousse. The food, wine, liquor and service were all excellent. One of the kitchen workers was easy on the eyes also ;) If I may, I suggest a wifi service since there is no signal inside.

We came again after a few years. Small nice location with good service and great food. The niveau (quality of meals, price and device) is the same after years, that is really good to know! Still a clear recommandation!

After a few pleasant email exchanges, I was able to make a reservation from NY for this well-recommended restaurant in El Raval neighborhood of Barcelona, during Christmas week. (They were closed from Dec. 24-Jan. 2 but they were able to accommodate us the evening before the closure.) Our host and server were lovely, but unfortunately the food was just okay.... More

Was in Barcelona for work the week before Christmas. My team and I were told that this restaurant was great for food and service. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted like regulars and treated graciously and warmly throughout our stay. I had the crème brulee appetizer, which consisted of fois gras and parmesan. The creation was magical... More

We were a group of 8 people, who drooped in with out a reservation and we were sure we would get "sorry no table available". So far from it, we had so nice welcome and they could arrange a table for us. We all loved our food and we were so happy with everything. Thanks!

The food at Cera 23 is AMAZING! Delicious truffle risotto, amazing fish tartare, cod salad, honeyed beef cheek,... Everything was star chef quality for a very decent price. Attention: the restaurant is quite popular, so you better make a reservation!

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
