Situated on the harbour the surrounding are no the most charming. Inside the decor is fine. The food is OK trending towards good. We tried the set paella menu. Salad, paella and dessert + wine and water The paella can be recommended and the salad and dessert was OK. The wine was disappointing - luckily we ordered a good red... More

We came for dinner in the middle of February and it was quite hard to find and a bit creepy as most other places around it were closed. I'm sure from April onwards the place must be lovely, right on the beach, it is quite a walk from the nearest metro, so it's probably wise to get a taxi here.... More

This is quite an expensive restaurant located at the seafront and next to the W hotel. The air is full of smoke from the open fireplace but you have a good view to the ocean. The choice of dishes is limited, but you can find some tapas and seafood.

We were 20 people at the restaurant and the place was very accommodating. Long big tables and great atmosphere. There are wlso nice sitting place around an artificial fire. The food was reasonable with nothing special. I expected it to be better. Service was ok, as expected. Place is good for casual group lunch or dinner.

Took a while to locate a restaurant for a mixed group of 7. Older children not great with fish, a gluten free wife and me seeking the cuisine delight of Andalusian cooking. After much searching on Trip Advisor and the Lonely Planet Guide looking for a moderate priced restaurant in the normally expensive harbour and beach area I found this... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
