Best romantic restaurant in Barcelona! Very Hospitable, caring, and went all out for our 1 year anniversary! Food was outstanding!

Fairly average paella in this restaurant - serving staff were okay not particularly friendly but not a problem. Unfortunately another one of these restaurants that add the 10% VAT charge when presenting the bill. No indication on the menu or outside advertising that the recorded prices are VAT exclusive.

Not too expensive place to eat, however the food is not that impressive and the service is pretty much terible... Good Sangria....

When approaching the restaurant we were greeted by a friendly old man who explained the menu to us showing the vast array of options available, the atmosphere of the restaurant was very laid back and the staff were very friendly/ banterous ( whatever you prefer to say) the pricing was reasonable, however they did charge us for the bread that... For 14.50 euro this restaurant provides 3 courses (a wide selection of each stage) and a glass of house wine. If 2 people are ordering you get the whole bottle to share at no extra cost! The portions are good and having eaten everything on their menu on 2 separate visits in the past 2 years I can vouch for... More

Unfriendly staf, oily food, some if it half cocked (burned and oily from the outside and frozen from the inside). Always check your bill, they add stuff you did not order! Just horrible. Never never again

I have to say tht this more than a restaurant is a money maker machine. The only nice person we met was the Italian girl at the entrance who sold in a proper way the restaurant once in, I suddenly felt trapped. We were a group of 13 people. Just couple of us was there and they really pushed us... More

We were very upset with our visit to this very poor restaurant along a highly travelled tourist route to the Barceloneta Beach. The pleasant young lady outside enticed us to enter and eat on the patio. Once in we felt trapped and received poor treatment. The plates they placed in front of us were dirty and it was an issue... My sister and I came here on the last night of our holiday- we just needed somewhere to eat as we were hungry and thirsty and needed to sit down! It seemed fairly busy with Spanish so we thought it was a safe bet. The menu was done by picture and I'm not kidding when I say the food looked... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
