The food was great! The restaurant had a daily offer for just 15€ that included: an appetizer, the main course, the desert and a drink by your choice. I had a mediterranean salad, paella de pollo ( rice with chicken meat ) and a glass of sangria and it was delicious. The portions were large so I strongly recommend to... More

The 2 course menu (incl. Drinks) was served pretty fast so we were back on the streets within an hour. The waiters (all over 50) didn't seem to care about us. Not 1 single "did you enjoy your meal"....

After a long day traveling, dropped on this nice little restaurant. Had a lovely meal and a few beers to wash it down. Staff were great, no bother and always happy to help.

Bleh. Food tastes fishy and one of my fish was undercooked. Saving grace was the paella was very decent. Overpriced for the quality. Tourist trap and impatient service. Sangria for five euro barely had any alcohol

There were many restaurants near here; however, we chose this one because the hostess explained to us what paella was. We had really wanted to try paella but were nervous since we didn't know how to order it. We sat outside (around 7 pm) so it wasn't crowded yet (8 pm is dinner time in Barcelona). We thought the food... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
