The food was OK and in some aspect the Paella was better than many I have had in Barcelona. The Lobster on the Paella was quite dry, but I assume it is the result of baking it in the oven with the Paella. We also had steak which the kids liked as well as some Pasta. As some have mentioned... More

Went here for lunch and very rude staff. Charged us 15 Euro for 2 starters of gazpacho. When we said it seemed expensive they said it was because we ordered no drinks and so they need to upcharge to make money and we should have asked price before. Not good food and terrible experience. Worst food of trip for highest... More

As customers, we had a feeling we are burden to waiters. No interest if it is all ok. Sangria was almost sineless, just juice with fruit. It was most expensive dinner for two we had on our vacation and of course the worst one.

Paella is not awesome, but very good! I can recommend this restaurant for dinner or launch. Vine is too expensive cost, quality is poor.

Our lunch was pretty ok. We ordered seafood paella (11,5) & seafood selection (23,0). Paella was nice & almost what we expected. In seafood plate selection mussels & clams were over cooked & rubberish. It spoilt our lunch :( but shrimps & larger guys were delicious. Better try smth else, there are a lot of places around

It would be easy for a tourist to confuse this place with the 5 star 'Maians' restaurant as the 'Els' prefix is in tiny writing & easily missed. It couldn't be more different. Situated in a good location opposite the expensive yachts in the harbour albeit next to a busy road so it is a bit noisy sitting outside. Do... More

Too expensive, pizza is from the supermarket, fish dishes are simple with no taste, save your money and dont go there, warning warning warning.

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
