Friendly service and the crispy oxtail was delicious. The ox-chin is also recommended. We had a short stop for a.round of beer and tapas, would definitely recommend a visit for anyone in the area.

Our family of 5 really enjoyed this place. The food was very good but the service was even better. Our wait staff was very attentive and willing to suggest great menu items as well as wine selections. Highly recommend!

Great service, great ambience, great location, great food, what else can I add. Don't miss the chance to go but remember, no reservation, no table.

They serve tapas but with a modern touch. The location is great, in the old part of the city. We went there as part of our food tour with 'Devour Barcelona'. They chose this bar as their main stops in the evening. We woukd definitely...More

A very popular and well known bar that should be on the to-do list of anyone who likes good food, great atmosphere and nice bars in Barcelona. Tucked away in the Born district this bar has the look and feel of a proper, old world,...More

Great little place! Beef tartare with foie gras was delicious and the bartender gave me several free refills of cava. Will definitely come back here!

A little gem of a tapas bar. Friendly staff, all English speaking and great atmosphere. Food was very good and the wine by the glass is matched perfectly to the food.

Bar del Pla has some of the most unique (and tasty!) tapas that we ate in Barcelona. The wasabi mushrooms are amazing, and the Iberian ham melts in your mouth. The house cava is excellent (and not too expensive), and the atmosphere is cozy and...More

Tapas are excellent and flavorful!! Good selection of drinks and the staff was friendly but a mix on attentiveness- they were rather busy. Would happily return. Pricing of tapas started at around €8 and some of the choices were rather unique.

El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent
the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But
this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually
enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few
places that live and breathe such exciting energy
regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood
seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the
city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants

I'd recommend it especially if you want a table or decent bar seats. We turned up without but we're very early so managed to find 2 unreserved bar stools.
