We arrived without a reservation and had no problem to be seated but... it’s definitely worth to book. The food is really fantastic and was fast and efficient. The pasta bravas were unique but soooo tasty! I would recommend and I would eat here again

We tried La Alcoba Azul for a local tapas experience based on the recommendation of our food tour guide. We arrived about 8 pm on a Tuesday night and waited 30 minutes for a table. We sat at a table next to the bar in...the front room. Very cool little tapas place. (I noticed that everyone at the tables in the front room appeared to be tourists or students whose native language was English--not sure if the seating was on purpose or just a coincidence that night?) We tried several tapas, including house-made hummus, hasselback-style potatoes with sauces, chicken satay, one of the tostas and the torta, all of which were generously-sized and ranged from good to excellent. Our favorite, hands-down, was the roasted red peppers with goat cheese and rose jam--delicious! Unfortunately, service was inattentive to the point of rudeness and dampened what was otherwise a good meal. Would have scored higher if we would have had even a little bit of good service.More

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. All the dishes were phenomenal, with the Iberian pork being a particular highlight. On top of the fantastic food and the friendly staff, the cocktails were really good too.

Generous unexpected tapas! Tiny from the outside.with good music to entice us in here. We enjoyed a San Miguel and a house wine for ¢5.20 Very cosy atmosphere with a selection of music. An interesting glass floor over a possible well

We were looking for Tapas to eat and we found out about this place. The environment is wonderful and the inside of the restaurant is like eating in a gothic place just like the Gothic Quarter it is located at. The food was delicious amd...the waiter very kind, hospital and friendly. I would totally visit this place again and again. The best food I ate during my 7-day-trip to Barcelona!More

We were in Barcelona for 5 days and visited this restaurant 3 times. I could have happily eaten and drunk there every day. Food is outstanding, staff friendly, atmosphere good. The drinks (cocktails and sangria) are decent with good amount of alcohol! Little bit pricey...but completely worth it. Yum yum.More

Hidden in the streets of the gothic area is a little square with a very quirky little tapas restaurant. We sat out in the square and enjoyed the February sun supplemented by the outside heaters. The tapas was wonderful, the wine and beer good and...the service friendly and quick.More

My partner and I visited Barcelona on a four day trip. On our first night we headed to a burger place that was local to the hotel. The rest of the holiday we ate here every night the food was that good. We had different...dishes each night, the staff were amazing and so was the food. Get here early on a weekend or you're going to have to wait for a table. Believe me it's worth the wait. We will return to Barcelona again and will definitely visit this little gem again.More

It only opens for dinner. When not open you wouldn't think anything was there. Best to ask a local.
