Went here for lunch with my friend as part of her birthday weekend in December 2015, and both of us shared a Sushi 42 piece platter as well as Scallop ceviche and a bottle of champagne. The bill came to Euro 117 which some may consider expensive for lunch, but when you take into account the quality of the food... More

Some of the tastiest sushi I've ever had. Lovely venue, friendly staff and a gorgeously fresh and tasty menu. Good wine selections and honest advice from helpful staff. Highly recommend booking in advance.

Thinking back, I wish I had gone for one of the sushi meals but unless you share the mixed plates with someone or you are willing to pay a significant amount, you'll end up with the same type of sushi for the evening which I wasn't too keen on doing. The food did taste nice - had the pumpkin croquettes,... More

Big fish was recommended by a local so we checked their lunch hours on their website, 1230-430pm for lunch. So we arrived 40 minutes before lunch service was to end. We were turned away even though it was 3:50 pm. After explaining to the hostess that we had walked some distance and we were famished she said sorry we close... More

Normally I'm not a great fan of Fusion food & I have a deep suspicion of glam looking restaurants in the Born/Gotico in case they are just tourist rip offs. But Big Fish gave me a very happy surprise! The decor is really cool & upmarket, the staff friendly & the food was great: elegant & tasty Japanese/Western fusion with,... More

Fresh fish and original combinations (e.g. herring with mandarins and seaweed on toast, turned out to be the perfect combo). The sushi portions are generous and taste heavenly as well. Not the standard california rolls.

There were 9 of us in our group and we went on recommendation from one of the locals. It was my first time to a sushi restaurant because as a vegetarian I tend to stay away from anything specialising in meat or fish. But there was plenty to choose from for me and they also said that they would create... More

Was there three or four years ago, then it was pretty good. Good interior but now it's just a standard very overpriced sushi joint.

We were there as a big group of 9 person. The service is completely unprofessional and unstructured. They try but they seem not educated or guided. The food was very average. Too much salt on more or less everything. Some years ago it was a good place but now it seems like they want to profit from the old name... More

Description
Our concept is to offer the best wild fish which has been bought at the best harbours we have in Barcelona. In BIGFISH we work with two kinds of cooking; the Mediterranean one, which is based in fish and season vegetables and the Japanese where we prepare the best sushi you can ever try it´s an explosion of delicious flavors. Our sushi is the best quality because we work with the best kind of fresh tuna fish in the market. (Bluefin). Bluefin is the best tuna fish in the market, and the one who japanese only look after for its quality, for this reason we work with this kind for making Sushi and for cooking. Everything goes well with a little selection of wines, very well done, perfect with all things we offer you.
