Monvinic is a peculiar place to either experience their exhaustive wine list accompanied by a variety of succulent tapas (small plates for sharing) or you might want to sit in their main dining room. You won't go wrong with either, but don't leave without trying their COD Fritter-- to die for. Make reservations if you want to sit for dinner,... More

Monvinic is a wine bar and restaurant and in that order. The place is comfortable and artistically designed. Very good selection of wines and narrow selections of dishes but currently undergoing a redesign of the menu so should go back in the next few months to try out the new additions

Wine list was great...service was sub par..no explanation of dishes as they were served. When we spoke to the manager, she and the chef were aware that we did not eat food sereved but neither came to our table to inquire. They had no problem with us spending over 400e on wine but cared less about service and experience. All that being... More

This is the most select wine place. Great ambiance, specially in the evening. The presentation and variety of the wines is almost unlimited.

They claim they are a winery, but the restaurant is certainly not second to any other. Modern settings, and a lovely internal courtyard with beautiful vegetation and water features, make it a pleasure just to be there. We chose the "party" menu, which is a set menu at 65 euros, and it was delicious - and abundant. It included lobster... More

We went thinking the place would be closed and decided on a whim to go for the surprise menu. The sommelier was very accommodating to our tastes and took us on a journey of spanish wines. The food was amazing, especially when matched with some highlights of spanish wine. Amazing service.

Recommended by our hotel and a great referral. Location: in a hotel with both inside and outside options. Outside is a beautiful garden with ferns growing on the walls and a waterfall. Service: Very good but tough to communicate with the sommelier since his English was limited. They were initially opened as a wine bar by the owner with food... More

We arrived tired from travelling but everything was a unique experience. They proposed us to visit the cellar and they explained how they class the wines. The terrace was even nicer but it was still cold at nights.

This is one of the finest dining experiences I've had. Firstly, the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. Heavily influenced towards wine, private dining rooms and wine libraries line the entrance and lead you into a wonderful dining room. We booked a table on the terrace at the back of the restaurant, which is a brilliant place to dine on a warm... More

I popped in here by chance while exploring Barcelona. There is a casual area in front for tapas and wine. Both were very good

Monvinic has been founded with the aim of being an international benchmark for the dissemination of wine culture. A pioneering space, created by Sergi Ferrer-Salat, which has opened wide its doors to present an unrivalled selection of wines from all over the world. And, what's more, to explore the how and the why of each bottle. At a time when the number of wine enthusiasts, all keen to appreciate and to learn, is growing apace, Monvinic opens in the city of Barcelona to promote and to encourage this passion. And to do so in a way that is rigorous and respectful, yet at the same time providing an atmosphere that is natural, uninhibited, joyous and outgoing.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
