After walking through La Ramblas and the Gothic quarters, this small quaint restaurant offered exactly what I was looking for; a quiet place to unwind, free Wi-Fi, friendly staff and good food. The waiter that served me was very helpful and all his suggestions where excellent. Highly recommended.

The Gothic Quarter in Barcelona, like any other main city's characteristic district, is full of restaurants where tourists are crammed, served lousy food and charged high prices. Allium could not be farther away from this. The place is elegant and quiet, the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Our party of 6 has been seated in a separate room and our... More

Walking around the gothic quarter looking for tapas, we stumbled upon Allium and we weren't disappointed. Their modern twist on traditional tapas was something we were yet to come across in Barcelona! The setting is clean and modern reflecting their style of cuisine. Service was faultless (happy to answer any questions about the menu) even though we were dining late... More

This was a lovely refreshing break from the hustle and bustle of touristy Barcelona. Their paella was excellent and a very classy atmosphere. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Barcelona!

I dragged my family here after they dragged me to yet another tapas/pinxtos place with its muddy sausagy offerings and I refused to eat it. So, they had a few things there and we moved on to here. Here, being a storefront on a narrow street that we'd happened to walk past previously. They and I were glad for it.... More

After walking through the picturesque amd crowded rambla, take a rest in this calm and nice restaurant. The environment is clean and cool, the personnel kind and the food very good. Try the tuna with check peas and fo not miss the paella

There are so many restaurants to choose from in the area, however this was a wonderful choice! Arrived without a reservation, but was warmly greeted and welcomed. This place was very busy, and we were lucky to get a table at this hour. The waiter was very professional and patient in explaining the various menu items, providing details of how... More

We had an impressive lunch here lured in with the Slow Food association. Serious lunch menu with pre fixe or ala carte choices, featuring that day a pork dish from a free range black pig and a duck of some equal provenance. Be leisurely if you go. The chef was appreciative of our visit and gave us a free sample... More

On a dark alley. Well lit and bright inside. Nice atmosphere. Amazing food. Highly recommended. We got the toast with tomato, the tortilla with chorizo, paella for two. The vermouth before dinner was excellent, far different from the mixer vermouth in America.

It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences.
