Went to El Born while on vacation and stumbled upon this restaurant. Great location and food. Pablo, our waiter was terrific and fluent in Catalan and English. Great customer service and was great that he recognized us when we came back and treated us like old friends. A must visit when in Barcelona.

Great waiter, great wifi, inexpensive and consistently good food. This became our morning hangout while we waited for everyone to get up and going. Highly recommend.

We were in Barcelona's born district where the Picasso museum is located and decided to stay for lunch. Once inside we asked people what they were eating. We ordered lamb, salads soups and other ginger foods. All was delicious!

Get out of the Ramblas and over touristic areas, come to El Borne, plenty of place for some nice and more authentic food. Casa Delfin is very interesting with its old décor style but delivering a mix of quality classic and modern food, nice choice of seafood and reasonable prices. The seafood paella is lovely and very generous portion we... More

Great coffee on the terrace mid afternoon, so booked for evening dinner. Early staff service was good and friendly, then different waiter was quiet and non-caring we thought. Food was good, but nothing special ....Kate's hamburger was different with the strong goat's cheese, but too much bread. Interior is old-fashioned and quaint, but need to improve the menu

A tapas & seafood restaurant beckoned us out of the torrential rain... what a find! Excellent ambience & decor. Very helpful staff with great recommendations from Iván our waiter. - gracias! My seafood paella was perfect. The 'house' White wine a perfect combination; and the creamy goats cheese, honey and pine nuts - wow! Always good to say- 'a place... More

We just stopped here after visiting the Picasso museum for a cup of Cortado+Latte. We sat outdoors, but a lot of locals seemed to have a nice time indoors. The cafe is next to the El Born Cultural Centre (an old mercat), which is really worth a visit.

We were there in Mid September and after a week of walking and trying different food places we got to this small place on a cosy street and we were served by Ivan and that evening we got the best tappas and service in Barcelona. Just go there!

We had a great evening and Alan made some great recommendations in suggesting what we should order. They offer great food and the location is great, and Alan was a most helpful server!

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
