Went with my son and the staff were ok. Food I'm afraid to say was poor and brought out 20 minutes apart so my son had his meal first. My burger was not good and also had a hair in it. I normally would have said something but didn't want to with my son present. Also worrying that the toilets... More

We grabbed a seat outside in the terrace for dinner. Service was slow, and we ended up with our starters before our drinks arrived, and they didn't have our chosen wine. We ordered the only vegetarian option for one, which was a really nice goats cheese salad with blackberries and rocket. The other two guests ordered he seafood paella which... More

Went here as a family and ordered a selection of tapas and some paella. Fried squid starter tasted of sand which was strange and very unpleasant ! Chickpeas tapas was lovely as was anchovies. Paella was also very good. We had finished half our meal before we got our wine, had to ask a couple of times for it. The... More

We stumbled across this lovely place and decided to stop and have some tapas! We were not disappointed - they were absolutely delicious! Great value for the price and the staff was super friendly too! We'll be back for sure!

There are thousands of tapas bars in Barcelona and it's often difficult to separate the good from the not so. We ate at Casa Delfin. Great location near the Picasso Museum. Tables were all busy outside with people having drinks and many checking the menu outside and then walking away even though the inside was empty. We weren't sure why... More

Dear billg92, Thank you for leaving a critique of our restaurant; we enjoy the positive and endeavour to act on the negative. We have no green salad on our menú – at 10€ we have a langoustine & avocado salad with basil, a heritage tomato salad with our own special tuna belly confit and baby broad beans or a rocket... More

Really disappointing meal here. When we arrived we asked the waitress for a table for 2 of which there were some free tables already. She seemed reluctant until we said we wanted to eat and then it was okay with her. She was not welcoming in any way. In terms of the food, we ordered tapas from a menu which... More

After reading good reviews we decided to check out this little restaurant in El Born. We sat outside as it was a lovely summers evening. The service was blunt and average, typically Spanish. The food came, the seafood paella was okay but nothing you could get 1000 miles from Spain and the pork was well cooked but the portion size... More

I have eaten at Casa Delfin on both of my visits to Barcelona and the food has always been superb - most particularly the seafood. the service was always attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend - and it has outdoor seating in a lovely area of El Born.

Me and 4 friends were in Barcelona for Sonar festival - so not much of a culture/culinary visit, but we did have one superb meal at Casa Delfin in which we tried all of the Spanish highlights in one meal. Tapas dishes and paella all very good, the ceviche was particularly fresh and delicious, and Catalunian wine was good quality... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
