This place isn't cheap, and it's not that easy to get a reservation, but it's definitely worth the money and waiting time. Everything is prepared right in front of you in the open kitchen. The chefs are friendly, and eager to explain whatever question you may have. I had the (g)astronomical menu, which was a wide variety of Japanese dishes,... More

The food tastes ordinary. Not worth the price. Do not order the soup noodles; it consists of processed noodles with a few tiny chunks of pork.

The sushi was very fresh, and extremely good. As was the wagyu beef which was to die for in my opinion. The service and food were very good. For the most part I loved all the dishes.

Delicious tasting menu, super fresh products. Been to many high end Japanese Restaurants in Europe and would definitely place them under the top 3!

Had lunch this week at this small, high-end Japanese restaurant some say is the best in Barcelona. Atmosphere is very much what you'd expect, minimalist decor, with ridiculously polite waiters explaining everything in detail. We did the "menú degustación" for two and really enjoyed it. Mostly fish and seafood-based dishes, bite-sized and attractive, some (not all) extremely tasty. Paid just... More

In my search for the "best sushi in Barcelona" - I checked out many places & decided on Koy Shunka. It was a great decision. The tasting menu is just the right mix of "adventurous" and "well known classics" - sashimi, beautifully marinated beef, house made tofu, etc. We had a couple of special requests (one of my friends doesn't... We went for the tasting menu and everything was perfectly done. And the food itself was of top quality, including very expensive lobster. From this perspective all fine. But it's a pretty plain cooking, very aligned with the japanese principles, but I would appreciatte some courses with more risky approach. So fine for those that like to have good ingredients... Had a quick afternoon bite here and the food was amazing. The sushi was absolutely delicious, we also tried some noodles and the cod, which were both amazing as well. My only complaint is that our waitress was a bit stuck up and seemed to be somewhat displeased with what we ordered. She kept saying things like "is that all... More

Went for lunch with children who love sushi. The kichen bar with 15 people cooking in front of you unfortunately was full and sat on a private room. The raws were super fresh but with small quantities and the tataki ones just excellent. Nice noodles, nice rolls, everything that we tryied we wanted an extra portion. One of the best restaurants...
