I came in alone and was greated by a somewhat boring waiter. He seemed uninterested in the guests. I figured that the bad reviews I had read about the the place was correct. But rather immediately a new waiter came in to help. His recommendation was great. My meal came quickly and my drink right away. I was very pleased.... More

Love mexican food? This is the place. They're experts and you get the best value here. Michelada is a must to start. Tacos. Good for a romantic dinner!

I've been to the restaurants with some friends. We didnt organise the dinner very well, we spontaneously went there with a couple of additional people respect to the reservation. So we ended up a bit tight. Anyway, the food was good, real Mexican (I was with a Mexican guy). There are also not spicy dishes. I found the interior decoration... More

We used to come here regularly but recently the service is awful. We waited 45 minutes and after enquiring politely to the only waiter on duty were told he was 'busy doing something' Not acceptable!

Went with some co-workers for dinner and we all had something different, but shared a fine set of starters. I can recommend sharing some starts and get your taste buds going before diving in to the main dish and the different sets of chili. The chili is available in a range from ‘Some-what-hot’ to ‘Damn-I-will-need-more-water-now-hot’. So if you are in... More

I have been at cantina Machito for the last ten year several times, when they use to show a picture of Harrison Ford visiting the place long, long time ago. Although food just lowered, not being surprising (same dishes in the last years, but prices keeping up and up), margaritas getting smaller, the worst part goes to service. It is... More

The food is average, the service is also average. We picked a table outside on a busy walkway. Men carrying pieces of paper came to the table of two occasions begging for money. The second time, the man with a piece of paper, put it on the table and stole my phone when picking up his piece of paper. There... More

They do not serve roasted grasshoppers (chapulines) anymore because Spanish law does no let them, this is how authentic this place is. The food is make-you-smile delicious. Tasty, fresh limes, superfresh cilantro, excellent seasoning. I am not a mole expert but I am willing to bet they nail it. I will take my mexican friends there, this is how good... More

Staying in Gracia

Neighborhood Profile
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the center, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theater that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
