My wife and I ended a fantastic 7 day Barcelona stay with a spectacular dinner at Rudi's. He has my absolute highest recommendation. Rudi's kitchen is easy to find - a short walk from the Olympic Village metro station and well marked in the courtyard....His directions were very clear. The place itself is cool - perfect size for the event and a clean, relaxed vibe. We were the first two to arrive. Rudi greeted us with a glass of Cava and some easy flowing conversation in his excellent English. The remaining seven guests arrived in short order, and we sat down right around 8:30. The next 3 1/2 hours were fantastic. Rudi reviewed the many (8?) course menu that was written on the large blackboard, checking for dietary restrictions and going over the numerous drink options. (3 wine choices and 2 local craft beers - along with his recommended pairings). Each course came with a description of the selection and a refresh of drinks. (Rudi is very generous with the pours). Our entire table was thrilled with the meal - the combination of quality, atmosphere and pacing was great. The group itself was another highlight. We were joined by 2 couples from Poland, a couple from Belgium and a solo traveler from Boston. We were quite good friends by the end of the evening. I can tell from the reviews that this is quite common at Rudi's dinners and it was a big part of what might our night so special. A wonderful place.More

We booked a dinner with Rudi while in Barcelona for vacation. We enjoy exploring the local food offerings and Rudi's was the best of our travels in Spain. Eat-With is usually an interesting experience and the food and company during this visit was fantastic. We...enjoyed a phenomenally prepared eight course presentation of microgastric delights...all were delicious and showed a wonderful grasp of cooking magic. Our group consisted of people from Germany, Austria, UK and America. Wine was well chosenand plentiful. It was an amazing night and an unbelievable value. His storefront is tucked in the interior courtyard of a small shopping mall.More

This was one of our favorite meals in Barcelona. The food was innovative, beautifully presented and delicious. The wine and beer pairings were excellent. We felt like we were on "Top Chef!" Plus it was so fun. The other dinner guests totally enhanced the experience....We were a mixed group - 4 different countries and different ages. The conversation was interesting and at the end of the meal Rudi joined us at the long table for after dinner drinks and more talking. We all were reluctant to leave. I highly recommend this experience.More

The eight-course journey was beautifully designed and dishes kept getting better until the dessert(s)! I was also a very spoiled vegetarian as my preferences were all included in Rudi's recipes. I had a great time and amazing conversations with the other guests! It was a...peak point of this travel. I will for sure keep looking for dining experiences while I travel.More

We stumbled upon this hidden gem while looking for a place to eat while in town. Dinner with a chef.....how can that not be awesome? Our instincts were correct! Also, the price is incredibly cheep at 62 Euro per person considering what you get -...8 separate courses!! Our night began with a short trip down to the old olympic village to meet up with Chef Rudi. We had absolutely no issues finding Rudi, very easy and clearly marked with a large sign on an easel outside his place. Upon entering we met the other couples who would be dining with us and shared in some welcome champagne that was crisp and refreshing and subject to being refilled by Chef Rudi without even having to ask. Everyone, including Chef Rudi, quickly began conversing and getting to know each other and This is a small intimate experience, there were 7 guests total and it looked like this was about the maximum Rudi's kitchen/dining room could accommodate. So expect a small and intimate experience. The atmosphere is cozy, warm and friendly. The walls are adorned with pictures of the chef's family, a map with pins in it from all the guests Rudi has had and culinary pictures. The smell of the dishes Rudi is preparing fill the air. Once everyone has met, had some champagne and settled in dinner will begin. The courses are paired with white and red wine as well as local craft beer. I will spare you the description of each course and sum it up by saying that each dish was fresh and delicious, the flavor exploding on your palate. Each dish truly was a work of art by a man that is clearly a master of his craft. Also, Chef Rudi caters to dietary issues and restrictions. My wife and daughter have seafood allergies and there was no issue accommodating them. I encourage anyone in the Barcelona area that wants an unforgettable culinary experience to visit Chef Rudi!!!More

If you can have one meal in Barcelona, there's only one place you should have it: Rudy! From the moment we walked in, Rudy made us feel right a home. The whole meal was outstanding from the first appetizers to the last dessert. The whole...menu was well prepared. We also met some really cool people from Barcelona, Spain, and England. The meal was 9 different meals, all original and amazing. We also had some great wines, Jovent, and the Balate beer was great. Theres no doubt in my mind that this is THE best restaurant in all of Barcelona!More

My husband and I visited Barcelona on a road trip through Spain for our honeymoon. We wanted somewhere different and that takes us out of our comfort zone, or at least I did as I never eat fish or drink red wine. I can honestly...say the best night was had by all. Sitting with other people was brilliant, getting to hear everyone's stories made the night even more brilliant. Rudi was excellent and a great host. If you are thinking about do this, just do so.More

Wow! What an experience! Don't hesitate, just do it! There are over 9,600 places to eat in Barcelona and I doubt anything is as unique and delicious as this! Rudi has clearly put a lot of thought into every little detail. The flavours and combinations...are out if this world, the presentation is superb. The drinks pairing is perfect. No words can truly do this any justice, you just have to see for yourselves! Where else will a chef explain to you what the ingredients are, their origin, and why they're used, mingling with you instead of staying behind the scenes? Amazing!!! We will come backMore
