Stumbled upon this place while whirling around the gothic quarter doing a little shopping. Passed it and tried to find our way back when it was meal time. It was worth the effort. Our waitress Judy was a delight. We started with a bottle of...More

A wonderful find, hidden in the streets of the old Gothic area. The staff were very accommodating, sorting out the tables to accommodate eight of us together. The tapas were divine, flavoursome, well presented and plentiful. Every plate was delicious. The desserts were amazing...loved the...More

Recommended by our Hotel - very hip place and the food was not bad either. The white wine - blanc de terrer was excellent.

Our tour guide Yianniz pointed us to the Bodega La Palma on our recent trip. The place has a very original vibe and it looks very small, but be sure to ask if there are free tables upstairs if the bar is full. They serve...More

You have to be careful if you do not want your check to go up. Very good, excellent bravas, anchovies and spectacular croquettes (above all) those of ham and squid. It offers a couple of tables on the street that are very nice. One of...More

The best tapas we had while in Barcelona! Really friendly staff and good atmosphere. The menu has labels for food allergens, making it easy to see what gluten, lactose and nuts. Definitely worth a visit!

It's not the best wine bar I've been to in Barcelona but it rates pretty well. Waiter was really helpful on appropriate wines and they were reasonably priced. I took a variety of croquettes, and they were amazing (how can peas be so lovely?). The...More

Description
With its 80 years, La Palma is undoubtedly one of the most charismatic locals of the Gothic quarter in Barcelona. Opened in 1935 as a grocery store, it has been an improvised theater stage and a meeting place for artists, painters and poets of the recent history of Barcelona. In 1987, the business became " La Bodega de la Señora Maria" and adapted to the new times, including for the first time a coffee machine and a variety of homemade omelettes, without neglecting its tradition: the barrel wine. The last change was in 2005 , when the new owners expanded the menu to convert the celler into what it is today: a place that perfectly combines traditional Catalan cuisine with a wide and varied menu of wines and champagnes . Enjoy it!
