About
With its 80 years, La Palma is undoubtedly one of the most charismatic locals of the Gothic quarter in Barcelona. Opened in 1935 as a grocery store, it has been an improvised theater stage and a meeting place for artists, painters and poets of the recent history of Barcelona. In 1987, the business became " La Bodega de la Señora Maria" and adapted to the new times, including for the first time a coffee machine and a variety of homemade omelettes, without neglecting its tradition: the barrel wine. The last change was in 2005 , when the new owners expanded the menu to convert the celler into what it is today: a place that perfectly combines traditional Catalan cuisine with a wide and varied menu

Had an really lovely special of the day, duck liver. Followed by pork cheeks, which were melt in the mouth. Very friendly staff. Simple and authentic restaurant. In the tiny streets of the gothic quarter. Seemed popular with locals, usually a good sign. Recommended.
