This place was opposite our hotel so we popped in one evening to grab a chocolate and apricot slice and a white chocolate cheesecake - both were awesome but slightly pricier than the basic bakeries at 4.90 euros each.

We went to this bakery because it was near our hotel and it had great TripAdvisor ratings. We were not disappointed. The coffee was great and the pastries were excellent. The shop offers everything from basic croissants to fancy desserts. The presentation on some of their items is incredible. Stop in for a quick look. It's worth it.

What a lovely shop this is. Fabulous displays of exquisitely decorated cakes and chocolates. We had coffee and sacher torte which was both beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The coffee was good too. The young staff were so friendly and cheerful it was a pleasure to relax there and enjoy the calm atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle outside... More

Not the best, not the worst. I wouldn't really recommend it as there are so many better restaurants in Barcelona. The food was decent, but the staff seemed like they were in physical pain, as if they are doing you a huge favour by taking your order. So go if you're starving and can't find anywhere else around, just don't... More

When you come to Barcelona please visit this eatery…it is more than a café and bakery. It is an experience of scents, taste, and visual observations. There is more than one of these bakeries. The one I visited is located in Las Ramblas, a very popular street in this amazing city. Just the building is something to admire. The architecture... More

Went for breakfast one morning. The waitresses were very slow taking orders & forgot one of ours so we had to wait. Coffee was ok & the pastries we tried were OK, but not as good as I'd expected. Wouldn't bother next time I stay in Barcelona.

High end cake shop and the sweets are great but the coffee is pretty bad. Staff speak some English. Foreign credit cards didn't work either so had to run to the atm.

Mid morning week day coffee and cake. Beautiful cakes made on the premises. Large restaurant seating up to 100. Sit down and be served. Wonderful fresh bake choices on the menu. Mainly sweet pastries and cake. Can buy to take out. Service prompt and good. Prices reasonable. On main road no views.

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
