I eat in this restaurant for lunch every day when I am in Barcelona as it is near my office. The food is of a consistent standard. The best dishes are the meat balls and the grilled octopus leg. The food is reasonably priced.
The food was the best we had in Barcelona. The staff was friendly and very attentive. We were served by Eric and Innez, outstanding! Would definitely recommend to anyone in and around the Catedral de Barcelona!
We had lunch here on a day we were exploring the city. Service was a bit laconic but friendly. The food was very good and a seat by the window affords a nice opportunity for people-watching. I don't know that I'd call it a must-visit...More
Randomly swung in for lunch to get out of the rain, food was fantastic, service was very good (despite the other reviews), and food was consistently good ( tapas through entrees) and I was skeptical because a block from the cathedral. Nice atmosphere too. Great...More
Given that this is so close to the cathedral, and thus a tourist trap, the Taverna del Bisbe was much better than we expected. We sat at the bar and had tapas, which were so good that we went back 2 days later for breakfast....More
Our first night in Barcelona and this restaurant was very close to our hotel and looked cute. But the aero was poor (attitude and slow). We had a garlic shrimp served in a small cast iron pot that was terribly over cooked. I was still...More

We were looking for a place to have dinner after walking the streets, taking in the sights.

After lots of walking around gothic quarter it can be hard to decide on a lunch spot. So to save your aching feet my fellow travellers I recommend this restaurant. Beautifully cosy inside with booths you can just sink into. Great choice on menu. I...More
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local
musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
