Firts time in barcelona, first night @ sensi. Couldn't have chosen a better place! Tried tapas from all categories, they were all top notch. Prawns top of the top!

We went as a group of 16 for tapas and drinks. The manager (very short guy with floppy hair) said he would take care of things and design a special menu for us to take account of vegetarians, non-fish eaters and gf guests rather than...us choosing a la carte which can be more difficult for their kitchen and leave people waiting for food. We were happy to go with his recommendation and asked for a budget. He told us €25-30 euros per person for food plus drinks on top. We were happy to do that and went ahead. The food was incredible and service was excellent. However, we were given far too much food - especially as we had vegetarians and a number that do not eat fish which the manager had noted. A lot of food came out and many plates had gone uneaten. There were at least 7 plates per person which was far too much. Especially if people do not eat fish/meat! The bill was well over $900 euros. Of that the food came to €45 each (inc. service) which was significantly more than the budget we were given and agreed. To be clear the food was very good and I cannot fault the chef or wait staff in any way but it is not fair to quote a price and then unilaterally increase it without checking and knowing full well that plates are not being eaten. It was an incredibly shortsighted thing to do by the manager. Worst still after paying the bill without even mentioning the fact we had been quoted far less, the manager said it was €9 short. I felt terribly embarrassed for the owners that the manager would even raise an issue such as this on a bill of almost €1.000. Shameful. It was great food and service but sadly we will not be returning. What a shame to leave a sour taste. I hope the manager learns from this. My advice would be to pick your own (insist even if in large group) so you know how much it will cost!More

The food (the dishes that did arrive) was great and there was a good atmosphere in the restaurant. But I would never pay a repeat visit purely because of the poor customer service. Our waitress was extremely rude and we noticed similar behaviour to the...table next to us. She clearly didn’t want us there, rushing us and being very blunt whenever we addressed her. Not all our food arrived and I mentioned this when the bill came, her reply ‘what do you want me to do about that?!’. It seems a few other reviews mention similar so it appears the staff need some training on this otherwise I would have rated 5 stars and recommend to my friends.More

We saw this restaurant on trip advisor and booked it for our first night in Barcelona. A tiny gem with amazing food. The number of people they had to turn away, while we ate, without reservations is testament to the standard of food. The pork...cheeks, chorizo, paella and croquettes were top notch but everything was so good. Great vibe and fantastic service. Defo try this but BOOK in advance. 🙌More

Great authentic tapas - I would advise reserving a table as it was very busy. Best dishes were the oxtail croquettes and patatas bravas

Excellent dining experience, great food, lovely service. Restaurant is well presented with an intimate setting. Would be ideal for a date night. Visited with friends and we had around 14 dishes, all of which were excellent. Particularly the ravioli and patatas bravas. All in all...was around 140EUR which included 4 beers and a bottle of wine. I would highly recommend this restaurant, and consider it a must visit when in Barcelona. Thanks for a lovely meal!More

We absolutely loved our night at Sensi (book in advance, it gets busy!) – the atmosphere, the service, the food are all amazing. There’s also an element of theatre in the presentation of the food – at the time of our visit (May 2022), a...delicious tuna tartare was on the menu that came to the table with sticks of rosemary that were on fire. The drinks menu was also very good and our dinner was incredible value considering the quality (we left stuffed but without much of a hole in our wallets). A must visit if you’re in Barcelona.More

I'm not the type of person who leaves reviews, however Sensi Tapas was too good not to leave one. In fact, the only criticism I have is that we went to Sensi tapas on the first night of our holiday, and every restaurant we visited...after was a let down in comparison. The food was insane. There was a serious debate between me and my partner on what the top dish was, but in my opinion, the chorizo takes the crown. The service was even better; fast, efficient, friendly. Finally, the main reason I'm leaving this review is to give a shout-out to the fantastic Luis. He is one of the warmest, attentive and knowledgeable waiters we've ever had. He took the time to get to know us, and made food and drink recommendations that suited us to the tee. He made it a unique meal, and elevated the evening beyond a normal dining experience. Hold tight Luis! 😎 If you're only going to one restaurant in Barcelona, Sensi tapas has to be the one. Emma and Ethan.More

Not a tapa experience as we waited 20 minutes to get any opportunity to order anything then had only received two dishes after waiting 55 minutes. We cancelled the remainder of the order and left. Absence (of food) did not make the heart grow fonder...as we were too hungry to appreciate it when what did show up was eaten.More

We booked in advance for 8 people. We were texted by a member of the team to ensure we would not be late as they were fully booked-the option to go earlier was encouraged. We turned up at 6:05 for our 6:30 booking but was...told we’d have to go elsewhere and come back. Two of our party then went over at 6:30 and were also turned away due to supplier delays. We sat in a bar nearby and I texted the number that had messaged me earlier than evening asking them to let us know when we can head over to which they replied ‘Not working.’ ‘You are late’ ‘they will not keep your table’ which was so unprofessional and we didn’t have a clue what to do. We finally headed over and the members of staff were very cold, sat us down, did not say anything and walked off. Our female waitress had a very short patience, lots of attitude and eye rolling. Due to the nature of the tapas style dining, we didn’t know how much to order for 8 people. I placed the order on behalf of everyone else. When a few members of the party were still hungry I asked if I could order 1 more dish. I was told ‘you must all order at once, you can’t just place one off orders’. I explained that we were sure of portion sizes etc. Overall, the whole experience was so let down by the staff. I think we only had 1 gentlemen waiter who was really nice and very friendly. We would have liked to have been served by this man the whole evening which would have made our review a 5 star.More

Sensi tapas was very busy when we visited but it's not surprising as the food is delicious and great value for money. The staff are really friendly the food arrives at your table as it is ready so there was a constant stream of plates...arriving and being cleared away. I loved the burrata, potatoes bravas, tortolini and padron peppers. I would recommend it as a fun atmosphere place to eat in central BarcelonaMore

Probably the best Tapas we have ever eaten. From amazing mussels to duck confit, all the dishes were fabulous. Throw in a great atmosphere and first class service and you have everything you could wish for. People were still queuing to get in when we...left at 9:30 - which speaks volumes. Wonderful food, wonderful evening.More
