This was our first dinner in Barcelona and it was a great find. The space has lots of character and is right near a beautiful cathedral. The menu is tapas style but definitely more modern takes on traditional dishes. The presentation was very nice and...More

Petra was easy to find as they provided accurate directions on their web site. We arrived without reservations just before all the crowds, those without booking were turned away. Service was solid, but we realized we should have ordered the special menu when the chap...More

Petra is a small restaurant on quiet street in El Born ... It is located on a less traveled street and away from the noisy tourist traps of the busier areas of El Born... We discovered it by chance and decided to give it a...More

Menu is on a wine bottle, also in English. Very quirky. The black rice for starter is really good, veneere rice? With sabranossa sauce. Mushroom and sausage casserole(not really a casserole) is lovely. Cheapest Catalunya red wine pretty good too. About £35 for a couple,...More

Our guide recommended this place and we did not go wrong. I had the 3 course fixed price meal for 12 euros. Carrot soup, served with a sourdough bread, roast pork and potatoes with a yummy sauce and coconut Gelato with chocolate sauce. My husband...More

If you are looking for amazing food, accommodating staff and authentic Barcelona then this is a great find. A quaint restaurant, not for those who wish to show off. Simple, welcoming and homely.

We had the lunch menu here, which at three courses for just over €10 is pretty good value. However, the food was at a standard well below most competent home cooks and not acceptable for any restaurant. The starters of scrambled egg with ham and...More

This was a real highlight of our visit. Tiny cafe popular with locals and tourists. Book ahead because they turn away many every day who haven't . Good menu at very reasonable prices. Authentic food not seen elsewhere.....good plain cooking.

Found this restaurant after wandering around El Born for a while. We were lucky to get a table, popular spot. I had the pasta starter with duck liver sauce, very tasty. My wife thought her chicken main course was a bit chewy, but my pork...More

El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent
the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But
this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually
enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few
places that live and breathe such exciting energy
regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood
seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the
city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants
