This bar was recommended by a UK friend and a local so I had to go and wasn't disappointed. It's popular so you may have to wait for a seat as it's small. There is no written menu but they are very good at recommending...More
Unique dining experience with amazing food. Grab a seat (if you can find one) and the server gives you a choice of meat, fish, or veggies. They only serve each one way per day, so there is not much to think about. It might seem...More
I would say, a local experience? Many patrons at the bar were locals, known Juan for long time! Juan knows exactly what they want and quick served the dish. It called a bar, but more like small eats, but then the food can actually fill...More
If you come to Barcelona this is the first tapas bar to visit for a truly great experience. So pleasant to sit at the bar & watch the customer friendly team of Juanito, Jordi, María José, Dídac, Albert & Javi (the sex machine) all chip...More
This is a classic in the Boqueria market. The food is excellent and the employees work really hard to serve customers as fast as possible. It’s not always so easy to get a seat, but it’s well worth the wait.
Tiny Joan (Juanito) Bayen has been serving awesome fast food in this tiny eai it and beat it for more than 75 years. Try the milk coffee, the churros, the tortilla espanola. It's all wonderful and he's a serious charmer,
Arrived at this bar by hazard and found the owner playing up to a crowd of tourists so had my coffee and decided to return early the following day Took photos of the staff as they worked and had a snack at the bar with...More
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and
appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.

The joint has 10-12 bar-seats. It is kind of open air and right on the one of the entry points of the cover bazaar Boucheria. Many people come in and out and many are quietly fighting:) behing these high chairs to find a place to sit. It is crowded and babies and very small kids would not be comfortable. The children (6 or above) can manage. 10 years or older would probably like the "energy".
