I had a great experience in Gresca restaurant, they works with amazing raw material. All the dishes are delicious... especially the squab rice, which is very tasty. Also, they are experts in natural wines, the wine list its very large and you can try wines...of over the world. Sommeliers are very kind, they help you in anything. The price is a little bit expensive, but its normal considering the quality of food.More

Three of us dined here one evening - we had made a reservation as we heard it gets busy. And busy it was - from the time the doors opened (we were meeting outside on the street) we watched a lot of people enter. There...are two sides to this restaurant - one is a prix fixe menu, sit down type of place ($$$$) and the other, the side we went to was a little more casual. The food was really good. However, be prepared - the portions are really small. Since we were all just sharing, at times that meant cutting one portion into 3! Again - it was really good food - so it is kinda worth it. The service wasn't great. Very slow to take orders, check on us, etc - however VERY QUICK to shove us out the door. I understand they have to turn tables over - but for the price you are paying, they shouldn't book tables back to back. Our server was not very knowledgeable on the wine list - which caused a bit of confusion. Overall - great food. A bit snobby staff. Definitely crowded (the room is only about 12 feet wide). A bit rushed through our dinner. However, we enjoyed ourselves and laughed off the prices and really small portions. Try the sweetbread. Seriously.More

We went here with a group of colleagues, led by a friend living in Barcelona, Gresca being one of her favourite places. We had a reservation at the table overseeing, basically, the kitchen - an amazing sight and experience in itself. To see all those...professionals moving around, communicating flawlessly and generating the marvellous food you'll eat in just a minute is breathtaking. But, as it is a restaurant and not a showroom, let's talk about the food - lots of small dishes, freshly cooked (before your eyes, see above) and offering a great varieta of local tastes, both traditional and innovative. Everything accompanied by a selection of wines explained by a friendly sommelier. As a bonus, basically everyone from the the very friendly and helpful staff can communicate in spanish, catalan and english. Absolutely a place to go if you want to experience something a little bit different while enjoying excellent food.More

Rushed, pleasant but with little explanation of what we had......we had to ask. Further requests for water etc. Cold and over cooked fish dish, tasteless and on raw accompaniment Duck dish lack of flavour, soggy and lukewarm Desert as a replacement as egg intolerance a...sorbet.....full stop. We felt it wasn’t worth bothering with us or the table behind as pigeoned holed as tourist. The shame is we aren’t we visit our family regularly in Barcelona Desert wine £35 for a £11 bottle.More

Dinner at Gresca was competent and unfussy, with a business-like waitstaff. Our only choice was a fixed menu for the evening, a bit of a disappointment, since we are not lamb lovers. The wine list was good, and reasonably priced for the most part, given...the status of the restaurant. We learned quickly that Spanish wines from all regions are not only very good, they are a relative bargain at Spanish eateries. There are better restaurants, though.More

Very famous restaurant, which was recommended as "not to miss" by a foodie and wine specialist friend. We had a reservation at the restaurant, not at the wine bar (there was not availability). We had the short menu of 7 dishes, which were kind of...2-bites dishes... though very tasty!!! When we asked for the sommelier to assist us with the wine, they answered that they normally don't do that, but after we insisted a guy with shorts showed up, who recommended a wine, with an attitude as he was making us a very big favour!!! Definitely not a value for money choice!!! Wouldn't visit again...More

The food is lovely lots of small portions to share nicely presented. However, the waitress insisted that we needed more food and should order all courses at once. As a result everything came too quickly on the heels of the previous dish. She was also...a little too quick to whip away plates and on 2 occasions we had to ask her to leave plates as we were not done. It’s A lovely venue, just a bit let down by my view all night of boxes and boxes of wine shoved higgledy piggledy under a ledge. Seriously put a door across there to hide your mess.More
