Always full - why? Because its good! Best Tapas in town. Best atmosphere. Many residents. We went there for breakfast - lunch - dinner. Always at the bar. No need to wait. Waiter just in front of you! Fast service, good prices, perfect quality.

I garanty that it is the best tapas bar in Barcelona. We have intended to try another but we came back to ciudad contal again :) Freshness, options, best sangria formule, seafood are impressive and awesome. I gained 2 kg in 3 days by going there :)

This place was recommended to us by someone who lives in Barcelona. +Very nice restaurant with good atmosphere. +lots of different tapas to choose from and all very delicious -a little bit overpriced -long wait to get a table -service is not great and servers seem very overwhelmed with how busy the place can get at times -food takes a... So Tapas is good and cheap! But the menu is super confusing. I couldn't figure out what quantity of food is for what price and more importantly, what the food itself is. So to resolve this, I sat on the barside. I just ordered whatever looked good to me by pointing out. Problem, they don't speak english at all and... More

We ate here two or three times during our trip, it was recommended by our hotel staff. Food was very very good, and away from the busy and overpriced La Rambla. Nice outside terrace, but it's always busy so likely you'll have to put your name down and come back if you want to sit outside. Can recommend the Cabreaos... More

The first restaurant we visited in Barcelona was Ciudad Condal and it did not disappoint! We ordered several tapas and they all were excellent. The bar is good but sit at a table and enjoy! Our teenage boys loved the food.

It is the second time I go there. The decor is great, the scene is fantastic. There is a huge bouquet of fresh flowers that is very impressive. But most important: the tapas are just fantastic! The first time I went (in 2013) I sat at the bar and could see many tapas right there in front of me and... More

We had dinner here on our last night in Barcelona. We heard it was a popular restaurant so headed there for 7:30pm and were seated straight away. The service was great and the women who served us was helpful and attentive! The food was fantastic!! Can't recommend this restaurant highly enough, we will 100% be visiting Ciudad Condal upon our... I've been here many times but the last time I visited this restaurant, even convincing my friend that it's one of the best tapas restaurants I know, I left disappointed. Food was good/okay but prices and service were not that good. They even raised the menu prices if you're sitting outside on the terrace. Inside it's very crowded especially around... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
