We ate dinner here by default because of the long lines at Ciudad Condal across the street late in the evening of our last night. We didn't want to go further from our hotel and the place looked nice and busy. We should have walked further. On the plus side, the setting was very nice, server was friendly if a... More

Me and my girlfriend visited La Tramoia this month and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is located just off the main centre and boasts a modern interior. The service was brilliant with every member of staff knowing exactly what they are doing and was some of the best management I've seen! The food was also very nice and well... More

Ate here whilst visiting Barcelona for one night. Looked good from the outside but was So disappointed with the food. Ordered steaks which were over cooked and were sent back. Son ordered rice dish which was served to him with a knife and fork in the dish it was cooked in. They ended up not charging us for the steaks... More

La Tramoia was a nice experience on our first night in Barcelona though we realized after eating at other places, that it offers a very similar experience to many of the other restaurants in the area. Food was very nice, service was attentive, and the outdoor seating was nicely setup to reduce traffic noise. If you happen to be passing... More

Went there several times for lunch. The daily menu always has different things, and all of them where great. The dishes are very good and well presented, and the price of the menu is reasonable in comparison with the others in the neighbourhood. The tuna steak was excellent!

My wife and I were walking by after visiting the Catalunya Square and decided to pop in because it looked like a very inviting place. The wait staff and the hostess were friendly. I had the Seafood Paella which was very good. My wife had some sort of chicken dish that she said was good but a bit dry, ("could... More

My friend and I ordered paella and were told it would be 20 minutes - an hour later our food had not arrived. When it eventually did we received no apology. Though it was nice enough food we told the waiter that we were unhappy with the service we had received and asked for some sort of discount. He preceded... More

Was a bit wary at first of eating here as i had read a fair amount of reviews of restaurants on the Rambles and how they should be avoided.. This however shouldn't be.. Four foot weary folks sat down and had a really enjoyable menu del dia here, no hidden surcharges or extra for bread etc, the only add on... More

Had a tuna steak rear on the recommendation of the chef and head waiter. I went to the kitchen to talk it over with the chef. Result.. one of the most sublime tuna steaks I have had. Would happily pay over £40 back in the UK for this quality.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
