My aunt had been here on a recommendation. I love the place very typical. We opted for the menu, be prepared you really have to love pork meat to appreciate these appetizers; chorizo, morcilla, carne picadillo, and a Big white beans in tomato sauce, then the entree is pig...baby pig...I know....it's sad... But I had to try it, I love... More

We were looking forward to our trip to Segovia. This restaurant was part of the excitement. We came for the cochinillo and this restaurant has an excellent reputation for this meal. The food needed to be sent back to the kitchen, it was served cold. Hard to do for a roasted meal. The waiters hardly noticed who you were. They... More

We followed Trip Advisor recommendations to California. BIG MISTAKE. The place is tiny, the ego overgrows the 6 tables and the location takes you away from where you want to be as a tourist. We researched other reviews and found El Duque. So far in a month's travel around Europe, the best meal. Family owned and serviced. As traditional as... More

It was a great experience eating at this traditional restaurant in Segovia (May 2016). We were in a group and so we had many sucking pigs ("Cochinillos de Segovia") between us, and although I was surprised they served very different pieces of the pig to each of us, in fact it appears that all parts were excellent. The cooked pigs... More

We went recomended by a friend. Bad recommendation. Staff is not friendly. Almost don't interact with customers or make suggestions on the menu. We were 4 and the bill for 2 roasted pig, 1 lamp cutlet, 1 beans soup and a salad for share with water 12 euros. Mention the bread was in the table and not been informed there... More

The Cochinillo was good. We had half a suckling pig served at the table for two people. served in typical Spanish style with no accompaniments though. Cochinillo was well cooked, skin quite salty, but for me, it was missing something like a sauce or some herbs. Service was efficient, waiter dressed in a formal jacket and bow-tie. Be prepared to... After walking around the medieval walls of Segovia, following the green route, the bank of the river Clamores, went in search of the traditional dish "cochinillo". The reference was to the restaurant Jose Maria! But, unpleasantly, was full, packed, crammed with people, with huge queues ... So I was in the Duque restaurant, no queues, was soon answered. Pedi entry... More

The staff was friendly enough upon entering, but very inattentive after placing our order. We tried the roasted pork. It does not come with any sides, so it's a good idea to order something else as well. The pork was okay. There really wasn't anything special about it and I won't try it again. The mixed salad was flavorless. For... More

Once in Segovia you have to eat the traditional cochinillo. And Casa Duque is one of the most historical and traditional restaurants to have it. Nice staff, great food.

Lovely restaurant, with a lot of history, in Segovia. Great ambience and some of the best food I had in a while. Recommend ''Cordero lechal'' and the dessert ´´Ponche Segoviano´. Also recommend a stroll through the historic city after lunch as there is much to see.
