Great value, taste and Tapas

While we were on a full day tour her in Segovia, we had a lunch break and decided to go to the El Fogon Sefardi restaurant with a few of our group. Only a minutes walk from the Plaza Mayor were we split up made this an easy choice to dine in. We all had a range of Tapas and... read more

Price was great - 24 euros for two with three courses and wine included. And so tasty. For starter, I had the grilled vegetables which came with a great sauce. For our entrees - my husband had the chicken and I had the fish and we both raved over our meals. For dessert, I had the cheesecake and my husband... More

This is a little restaurant of the Playa Mayor with a bar that when you order a drink you receive a small seven of Tapas. We order a few plates among four of us and drinks and the whole thing cost less than $20 euro. Great tapas really tasty and a fun place to eat.

Stopped here for a cana and wine and tapas and also had a great coffee as well. We ordered a few small items from the menu and enjoyed some of the best of what was offered at the bar. I would go back to Segovia just to eat here and perhaps next time, sit down for a full dinner.

A small restaurant with some outdoor seating. Had an egg plant curry, a caesar salad, and creme caramel for dessert. The tab was 11 Euros and included a large carafe of wine. The creme caramel was delicious and tasted like the baked custard my mother used to make when I was a child.

For only 25 euros, we got 2 full 3 course meals and wine. Great bargain, but the food was not our favorite. Maybe it was just fancier style cooking than we are used to?

We had intended visting Jose Maria but on finding it closed in the evening went in seach of an alternative. We ended up in El Fogon and had a most agreeable fixed price 3 course menu for 17.90€ including a jug of local wine. Food all nicly prepared and presented with generous portions. Service a little slow but this didn't... More

We sat at one of the few high top tables outside under the canopy. This place looked pretty and was busy which is always a great sign but we were underwhelmed. The menu was uninspiring and so we opted for a drink only. The free tapas we were served was a small plate of meatballs in a bourginion style sauce.... More

This rarely happens... I wasn't very hungry. A disaster for a foody on a holiday ! So I looked on tripadvisor for help. Were to eat tapas of a good quality... Since my hotel was on the Plaza Mayor, I looked nearby and El Fogon jumped out. My wife and other children did not want to have dinner at all... More

We went in for lunch and chose from the 'menu of the day' and were so surprised at the excellent quality, presentation and taste of the food. We had lots of good food in our week in Spain, but this was by far the best! The menu was extremely reasonably priced, the service friendly and efficient, and the ambience good.... More
