Candido is very well known and has been there for many, many years. They have many pictures of royalty, stars, famous scientists who've dined there on their walls. We tried to eat there on our last visit to Segovia, but is was closed for holidays. This time, as soon as our group got to the square near the tourist office... More

If you are looking for classic spanish food, then you must come here!!! This is far most the greatest restaurant I have been to in Spain. It is worth the try!!! The cochinillo is the best I have tried in my life, and the employees are very funny and nice.

Magnificent historical setting, profesional staff and a menu befitting of the setting. The oven baked pig is the speciality and well worth ordering. Defiantly visit again.

We had a group dinner at this restaurant for about 60 people. The food was very ordinary but the location is spectacular. The service was OK but not great

We had a quick lunch after a business trip while returning to Madrid airport. We went to Segovia to have a look to the famous roman aqueduct. The restaurant is just under/aside to the aqueduct. We ate inside, really nice place and wonderful see sights from the windows. Prices are not cheap but it worth. Picture was taken from the... More

Well we were recommended this restaurant bar and he told me it was a great restaurant. Let's just say it's an OK restaurant. Service was mediocre at best. I have the roast which I must say was delicious, however overpriced. Out of the food was overpriced in my Pinyan and my friends fish did not look very good to me.... More

Like many other reviewers, I was expecting to see the ritual cutting of the pig. I had reserved in advance, which seemed pointless in the end because they told me it didn't matter that I'd ordered one, and that I could easily have a second portion. I was at first excited, because it meant I could also try the lamb,... More

The restaurant owner knew that we wanted to see the sucking pig cutting ceremony as I've already mentioned in the email when I've made table reservation. We originally have been assigned a table on the 1st floor without any Chinese mainlanders. Suddenly, the owner changed our table to a room on the same floor with Chinese mainlanders only. He said... The restaurant was recommended by a friend. Very disappointed. Main dishes came with no sides and at least 5 euros more per dish than other places. Roast pork and lamb just handed over in a dish with their cooking liquid around. A salad costing over 5 euros consisted of one Tomato cut into 8' shredded lettuce, some sliced onion, a... More

I had wanted to dine here ever since I read the review in the Sunday Times in 1974 but arrived on the day they were celebrating the bi-millennium of the aqueduct and could not get a table. It Took me 42 years to get back to Segovia and had my dreams of roast succulent and tasty piglet sadly shattered. I... More
