I have just eaten in El Laurel menu del dia 10.50. Excellent food served by a very efficient waitress. I was lucky to get a table as I arrived at 1pm. All other tables were reserved started to get busy around 1.30 1.45. So if you havent booked go before the locals start siesta. I had nachos and homemade guacamole... More

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious, healthy lunch in El Laurel today. The servings are generous. They also serve olives and fresh wholemeal bread as an apperitive. We enjoyed the tofu with orange sauce and vegetable paella and then the risotto with pumpkin and zucchini. Yum! Beautiful relaxed atmosphere with nice, soft background music. Prices are reasonable. We will... More

This is a real treasure in Salamanca, a city known for its dry cured ham and sausages. El Laurel is a wonderful vegetarian restaurant situated in the nearby area of the cathedral. Reservations are recommended for lunch and dinner since the restaurant has limited number of tables. The lunch special menu or "menu del dia" is a great choice because... More

Not every meal is going to be a culinary wonder. El Laurel was very homely, inexpensive and very satisfying. And it is not easy to find a vegetarian restaurant in pig-mad Spain.

We liked the restaurant so much, we ate there twice. Make sure you reserve! And, the waitress was fantastic. The guacamole, some of the best we ever had. Even the organic wine was good and reasonable priced. I wish I could find an El Laurel in every town.

This was probably the best dinner I had during a 12 day trip to Spain, and I am a meat eater! Full vegetarian and vegan menu with interesting choices. The pisto was wonderful. My daughter (the only vegan of the 4 of us) was in heaven!

Excellent food and service, relaxed atmosphere. They have a vegan menu on top of the vegetarian one. It's always full, so I would recommend to book it at least 1 day in advance.

Exciting to be finding really good vegetarian restaurants in Spain, which used to be really difficult. We had a really good feed here. Good wine list too. Not far from the centre - easy to walk to. Needed to book
