we have stopped for dinner 4 years running, on our way back to the ferry in the north. we adore Salamanca and this place just adds to the special feelings we have about the city. we always use the tapas menu , as we like to try local foods and this gives you more options. the prices are very reasonable,... Stopped here by chance. The waitress was extremely accommodating as we have a fickle 4 year old and she was willing to serve us whatever she wanted. Great. I ordered the cheesecake and was really surprised at how delicious it was. Served in a jar it was creamy and obviously home-made. Super friendly service, nothing was a problem and one... More

We visited Salamanca on our way back to the ferry and found this little gem at lunch time for a beer and spotted that it also had a small restaurant attached so despite the reviews booked for dinner. The food was great we had pasta and meat dishes as well as a local bean and chorizo spicy stew all simple... More

Very friendly staff. Quickly accommodated us outside for lunch. Fabulous risotto iberico. Our son had a lasagne which he devoured and the portion de jamon to start was brilliant as you would expect. Great fare for reasonable price and quick service ....

We went here because it was close to our hotel and we wanted to eat somewhere close as the weather had been awful. As we entered Cafe Dominicos most of the tables ion the bar area were occupied by locals, many of them eating. We were shown through to the restaurant area. There was a good selection on the menu... We loved this simple location with great people. Lidia made us feel at home with Spanish lessons as we discussed our menu selections. Thanks Lidia for your great sense of humour and Spanish hospitality!

We stayed at a hotel near this café and decided to have dinner there after a long day. The caprese salad was delicious as were the lamb chops. The staff was attentive and helpful in choosing our wine. From reading the reviews I realize that others did not have our experience, but even with the TV on to one of... More

Monday night, just arrived and only bars seems to be open. We decided on Dominico's Despensa Cafe and were quite pleased by their offerings. They take pride in the food they serve and presented it very nicely. One of us had a selection of tapas, the other sea bass. All fresh and pleasant to eat. Service was good. We'd put... More

We ordered two pinchos of tortilla (potatoes omelet ) And 2 empanadas, which he forgot since he was Busy with a coworker talking. Service was bad, I guess he was tired. The wonderful view of the facade of the st Stephen convent did not compensate for the very unexciting lunch. The salads were soggy, the fish uneatable and the I was unsure of the provenance of the burger. Our worst meal of the holiday so far. There are lots of alternatives in Salamanca - my advice would be to choose one... More
