This Vinoteca was recommended to us by our hotel concierge, as being good food and great wine in a nice quiet location (this is very important in Salamanca on Friday and Saturday nights). We sat outside in the plaza, very nice, service was very good, the wine was great, and the food was - well, it was ok. Nothing amazing.... More

We were staying at Eurostars Las Claras hotel across the road. Warm welcome when we arrived. Waiter was so helpful in suggesting a meal for us from the categories on the menu. He obviously enjoyed advising his customers as much as we enjoyed eating the delicious Spanish meal. Bill came to just over € 60 with wine (for 2). Recommend... More

Doctrinos offers Prime Wines by The Glass at very reasonable prices. The best Spanish Tintos & 1 Choice of Tapa at €3.50. Very popular local hangout. Doctrinos are real Wine Doctors. Thank you , Manolo for The Great Service.

What a great introduction to the culinary world of Salamanca! Contrary to what its name might suggest, this is as much a restaurant as a wine bar. We were greeted by a very friendly, competent, and fluent English speaking waitress (her colleagues are equally good) who offered useful tips on the fare and the wine. We had two tapas and... More

As a couple we love our food. Doesn't have to be "haute cuisine" and we just like a good experience wherever we happen to eat. On that so rare occasion, though, your 'jaded palate' experiences something so different that it becomes instantly memorable. It just happened here. Away from the main squares it's on its own in more than just... More

food starters were excellent, mains were very good for 3 of us, but one main was not liked by one. Wine reasonable price and good. location was ok for summer evening but uninspiring street scene- inside very modern, clean and interesting. highly recommended if you are looking for medium priced meal/wine -110.00 euros for 4 persons and away from the... This restaurant is a real find in Salamanca. Slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the centre of town but near enough to be accessible after a hard days sightseeing. The food is made with excellent produce, the cooking is simple but delicious and reasonably priced. The setting at night is wonderful in a small plaza in the shadow... More

We arrived without a reservation but a table was found for us in the Plaza. Although service started a little slowly, once we had engaged with the waiters the experience was faultless. We had aperitif drinks then four dishes to share between two. Excellent presentation especially the two entrees, mozzarella and cherry tomatoes with pesto, white tune and sardines in... More
