We were recommended this restaurant by the friendly owner of our hotel and were very happy we listened to him. On a very hot evening the air-conditioned basement interior was perfect. Normally I like to sit outside on a terrace and watch the world go by but it was so hot that this was very welcome. The service was friendly,... More

First time I saw Bambu i was a bit weary about going into it as from the outside itdies not look like much. However when you go down the stairs you will be suprised. Bright modern and clean. Tapas are very good waiters friendly. Try the ribs and the pulpo. First time i went with a local woman and then... More

We were recomended by the reception of the hotel to visit this spot to have dinner. Unfortunately it was nothing Special. We've end up in the restaurant Area. The staff was not friendly and the 3 plates we've ordered were Low quality. One too salty, the other one without half of the ingredients and the last one with "old" lettuce.... More

We stumbled across this place having read about it on TripAdvisor. I don't think we would have found it otherwise as it is in a side street down an unprepossessing staircase. But what a modern, bright, white , bustling place it was on a Sunday. We ordered a couple of drinks and chose two fairly small tapas, found a table... More

Great place to start your evening with friends, loving their beer plus free tapa offer! Very good grilled meats. Affordable as well.

We went here both nights of our stay in Salamanca. The first night we just sat at the bar and had a few drinks and really tasty tapas from the selection on show. We went back again to the restaurant part based on reviews. The restaurant was empty but this was OK as the bar was rammed full! We ordered... More

We stumbled on this on a quiet Monday evening - or so we thought! By 9pm it was standing room only with no place to perch on the bar. The ribera del duero was very drinkable and at 2.30 euros a glass with a choice of tapa with every drink it was a definite bargain! There is a good selection... More

This is a modern place that would appeal to the young at night but at any hour this is hands down the best free fresh tapas place in town and the beer and wines are good too! Make sure to be quick to order your drinks and tapas ar the same time and don't forget the freshly grilled free meat... More

We had seen locals heading down the stairs the night before so we went there for lunch the next day. €21 for 8 glasses of wine with tapas (plus an extra tapa we wanted to try). The tapas in the glass display cases are good but this place is about its charcoal grill - with a variety of meaty tapas... More

We shared a Chuleton de Buey and a bottle of Prado Rey here. Then topped it off with a new dessert to us of Leche Frita (fried milk!) Service was excellent - the waiter even bright us the steak on a serving plate and made a first cut in front of us to confirm it was cooked to our taste... More
