We chose El Rincon de España partly because of its location and partly because they offered suckling pig which we wanted to try. We had intended to be outside for the view, although they seemed to want us in the room. In the event, because the only people outside were a noisy group of tourists, we changed our minds. The... my third visit to lovely Burgos , my third to El rincon but a first for a meal there. The decor takes me back to my early 70s child hood - lots of dark wood ,etc but very very clean. We opted for the Burgos menu at 27 euros each : black pudding, Castilian soup, roast lamb and chips, le... More

This restaurant was quite good and it was very conveniently located close to the Cathedral. We ate both of our meals in Burgos in this restaurant. The Revueltos (scrambled eggs) with spring garlic and mushrooms were very good. The ensalada mixta was a bit basic compared to some we have had. The grilled Sea Bass (lubina) was very good. I... We ate here for two days running. The staff are lovely and we had great starters (different ones on each day) and also different mains on each day - the food was lovely and the menu del dias are great value for money - they include a third bottle of wine with the meal (each). The food on each day... More

This was our 3rd visit to Burgos in the last 12 months, on our way to holiday in the Algarve. The first 2 visits were a bit of a non-event food wise, so we were delighted to finally find somewhere that served excellent food! We stupidly ordered a starter and main course each, and they were delicious - but huge!... More

After an amazing visit to the Burgos Cathedral, we were starving. And, despite my dislike of touristy spots, decided the menu looked too good to pass up. What an unexpected surprise. Started with the soft cheese and honey, and ham and melon plate- both were excellent. Followed that up with a ham and cheese toasted sandwich which was exceptional. top... More

Had the menu del dia - very good value with half a bottle of wine but nothing special. This was made up for by the fact I was sitting on the terrace looking up at the spires of the cathedral illuminated in the setting sun. A fantastic location.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel. We were able to order three dishes for which the area around Burgos is famous: Cordero (lamb) roasted over firewood, garlic soup, and morcilla (blood sausage). All were outstanding. That, and a wonderful bottle of Ribera wine for a very reasonable price would make me want to go back. The service... More

Very popular restaurant. Sit outside and you can see the Cathedral. The food is excellent, it feels like you are a guest in a private home with a great cook -- and the service is warm and friendly. We loved the cochinillo. Prices are also reasonable.

OK, so it wasn't only the suckling pig, though finding it on the desgustación menu meant that I could finally try it on my own. And it was absolutely outstanding. A great location on the plaza, and wonderful servers. For less that $30 USD, I had an excellent meal and was able to try the aforementioned suckling pig, morcilla (a... More
