My boys and I were on a day trip to Toledo from Madrid. It was a Monday so many of the city's museums were closed. We were exploring Toledo on foot and around lunch time we serendipitously came across Taberna El Botero, a small restaurant on Calle de la ciudad 5 ( tel. 925 280 957). The ground floor was... More

We loved our meal from start to finish. Food was elegant and unusual, with excellent flavor and presentation. Our skilled waitress was gracious and helpful, ensuring that we had a special evening. (We were lucky to be in a quiet area; the music was a bit loud in some places.)

We went to this cafe several times during a holiday. Great to pop in for coffee and water while walking in the old city. The tapas is excellent - great tastes, beautifully presented and they also do an interesting line in cocktails and delicious wine. It can get very busy, but is always welcoming and a real haven at quieter... More

If you love interesting food, do yourself a favour when in Toledo, visit Botero! We visited for dinner upon recommendation from our host. It is a gorgeous, small restaurant. The waitress was very helpful with our sparse Spanish and we enjoyed a meal which was full of wonderful flavours and special presentations. Try their Coal Cod - absolutely moist and... More

We came across this place by chance after visiting the cathedral in need of long lunch. This is a small place with a restaurant upstairs and is a little bit quirky. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful, explaining each dish in the 30e tasting menu as it arrived (that is five courses plus dessert, a bottle of... More

Botero was recommended by a local from which we rented an apartment. Nice quiet street away from tourists. We went for lunch and enjoyed the tasting menu with wine. It was innovative and delicious! Great attentive service.

Stopped for a glass of wine, very nice owner who knows how to please. Intended for Gran Turismo and people who want to discover local cuisine and feel.

This is a little gem, with friendly staff, great food and reasonably priced. The tapas are exceptionally presented with quirky blue burger buns, coal(squid ink) battered cod. A great place to rest your legs and enjoy the food.

Lovely little bar, with great vibrance. Professional, efficient and very polite barman making great cocktails. Jazz pouring through the speakers makes this bar one of this places when you can forget about the rest of the world for a moment.
