Nice dining room, attentive staff, very good varity of fish dishes. We had rice with lobster. Delicious and good portions. We came 8.00 pm and that was probably a bit early. We were the only ones in the dining section the first half hour. When we left it was almost full.

We were there for a romantic dinner and from the first moment we had kind attention from the waitress. She provided explanation of the menu with a book that had all the pictures of the fishes and their translation in several languages. We opt for cold and warm starters, including oysters and shrimps. Both were outstandingly fresh and tasty. As... More

Apparently, paella should only be eaten at lunchtime...so I got some advice and headed to La Mulata (Monday is also not the best time for seafood....) Possibly not the most inviting place from the outside, inside the staff were extremely friendly and gave us a large table. Having explained all the fresh fish that were available we asked for the... Excellent menu of seafood and fish. Serviceable and experienced staff, make you feel at home. Tried the "zamburiñas" and were great. All in general was fantastic. Follow recommendations from the staff.

Visited for dinner and ordered goose barnacles followed by whole Lubina (sea bass) baked in a salt envelope. This combined with a local eminently drinkable wine made for an excellent meal. The goose barnacles were done just right and the Lubina was perfectly cooked and expertly served at the table

We visit Santander each year for 4 to 5 days. We always have lunch at La Mulata and have wines at the bar on other days. A wonderful place. The gambas a la plancha (grilled shrimp), arroz cremosa con bogavante (rice with lobster) and necoras (crabs) are excellent. Even something as simple as a tomato salad is excellent. The staff... Absolutely fresh and gorgeous seafood (Octopus Carpaccio was mouth-watering and spider crab challenging but delicious). Lovely interior, friendly staff and caters well for coeliacs - Gluten free beer (Ambar), bread and helpful/knowledgeable staff

The Food was served partially raw. The waiters behaved, as if nothing was wrong. Very expensive evening, but only little value for the colin. Das Essen (Fisch!) wurde halbgar, d. H. z. T. roh serviert. Die Kellner taten so, als sei alles in Ordnung.
