MICHELIN Guide's Point of View
This tavern faces Puertochico, a privileged area of Santander. It has a pleasant terrace, a large bar full of Basque bar snacks, and a small tapas menu...
After eating in a few overpriced and frankly average restaurants near the main Sardina beach area we walked to the port region and found Casa Lita. What a piece of luck. Great service. Great good. Best of all, great prices.
Read about it here on Trip Adviser and it lived up to the great reviews. An amazing selection of pinchos and very good prices, even the wine. We sat inside in the booths and felt very comfortable. Nice friendly staff serving you too. Do it!!
Extremely friendly and helpful staff! As our Spanish isn’t the best, they went out of their way to explain the tapas on offer & gave us some recommendations. Every dish was so tasty, complimented with fantastic local wine. Extremely good value for money.
Pinxos we’re great, good variety. Bar staff were friendly. Cheap glasses of Rioja wines to try, which was nice. This is a bit of a tourist trap as the quality and value for money is better elsewhere
This place is an absolute have to visit if in Santander. We have went back for a few visits on our 4 day city break. Food amazing, very friendly and welcoming. Staff amazing and highly recommended the Tapatas, best food in Santander. The staff know...there wines and great value for money. Highly recommended.More
We have to come back, definetly not the place to hang out with your kids, although possible, also not for having some fast tapas as it is made for. But rather spend the rest of the night eating one tapa after the other, tasting all...the fantastic flavours in this vibrant athmospere of people coming in and out, having their fast wine or beer. I will come back to Santander just for this one.More
This place has been mentioned on the Michelin guide, and there's a good reason! I've been in northern Spain for over a month now and I can say they have some of the best tapas I ever tried. So fresh, so creative, so tasty!
The...waiters are incredibly nice and most of the clients are locals.
The quality is unbelievably high for the low price you pay.More
My family and I went to Casa Lita to try the famous pintxos/tapas because I read it was one of the most famous places in Santander. It was even recognized by Michelin. So we decided to go for lunch. We asked the waiter for the...best pintxos and ended up getting 5 kinds ( tuna, sheperds pie tasting, pork wrapped with bacon, jamón with bell pepper and pizza tasting one) plus a chistorra.
To be honest most of the pintxos are overrated. Nothing fantastic or memorable. It wasn’t bad though, it was just okay.
If you want pintxo, San Sebastián has better tasting ones.More
We visited on a Sunday afternoon and found the place to be buzzing.
It was absolutely packed early afternoon but we didn't have to lurk around long before we were able to get a table.
The crowds thinned out in the afternoon, we were talking...shelter from a very wet day whilst waiting for our evening plane but still felt very welcome when we were the only people in there for an hour or so.
We had pinchos which were delicious and reasonably priced.More
Reviews really well but our experience rather average . Thursday night not very busy almost more staff than customers. Staff very good . Despite its reputation very limited choice of tapas although what we had ranged from ok to very tasty . Would try again...as May just have been unluckyMore
Went as part of a group to sample the pinchos. The atmosphere, drinks and food were great. Really enjoyed the variety of pinchos on offer and, as it was so busy, the freshness of the food which was continually being topped up and changed.
Great...evening out!More
All of their pinchos are €2.70. We had 4 different ones and a second helping of one of them. Merluza, smoked salmon, beef and chicken curry. The chicken curry was the one I liked best and got a second - although I would have been...happy with any of them. Large selection of wines. Most glasses are around €2, some a bit more, some a bit less. Used my Spanish so I’m not sure how much English the staff knows. Lita also serves a variety larger portion racciones but we didn’t try any. €30 minimum for credit card charges.More
4 very hungry guys were very well fed and watered in this fine tapas bar. The food was all freshly made and excellent. The beer was cold and refreshing and we could have stayed all night eating and drinking. We will definitely return.
