Very attentive service, lovely and cozy atmosphere, great food and wine. Had the octobus and the steak to share (1kg so plenty to share!!). Especially house red wine(ribera), but also white wine(albarino) were very good, not some random table wines. A bit expensive.

Went for early evening pintxos. Found wonderful cave like restaurant, wonderful aromas and walk to wall wine memorabilia. Very friendly staff who understand sign language. Great choice of wines. And the food was fantastic, especially the pork belly, cheese plate and Iberico. Two hours of fabulous stuff cost Euro 36.

The place looks amazing and probably has a long history. The bar is populated with locals and it might be a good decision to have some tapas there. The restaurant has a menu which is a little bit expensive for spain, considering the food is not on the same level. All dishes we tried were tasty but at this price... More

Highly recommend Bodega Cigalena, the food is excellent with great wine and really friendly staff. Our waiter was very personable and made us feel relaxed and was very welcoming. My husband had the octopus and I had the hake dish, both excellent.

Excellent service, food, stunning decoration. Waiter very kind and funny. Starters cheese and salad very tasty and big portions, as well as chuletillas de lamb. As dessert "fea tarta" which means ugly cake, but very delicious. You have to go there, totally recommend it, for sure I am going back.

This is a museum of vine with a nice vinelist but some frightening vine prices. It is open from 7:30PM, what is considered rather early for dinner in Spain, but the kitchen starts after eight, and had to wait until 8:30 until the bread was baked to get a piece of ham... For the main dish we all selected a... More

Have visited this place many times over the years, always remembered and welcomed by the waiters. Enjoy some fine wines or a superb meal. This is a must see place when visiting Santander.

The food was fantastic as was the atmosphere and the authenticity of the place. Please go you will... More

Menu all in Spanish, were not fluent by any means but can speak a little of the lingo. Had an amazing night, if youre looking for a real Spanish bar this will not disappoint. The Boleti mushrooms are amazing, T Bone steak was cooked to perfection and the squid was fresh and delicious. Worth returning to Santander just for this... More
