After having a good wander around Puerto de la Cruz, we stopped off at the City Café to have a bite of lunch. We both had an open sandwich and coffee. The coffee was so good that we ended up having another one along with a piece of cake each from the display. The food was tasty and the cakes... More

Great staff and food ok except breakfast. Toast not toasted, Eggs running with oil and streaky bacon ? Fat but not a lot of bacon. Coffee? It was ok but why no sugar even when asked for. Different at luch or dinner. All Great.

Called here to rest and have a cool drink. Very speedy service, clean tables and reasonable prices. Good variety of dishes available

I came here 3 times as I loved it so much, such lovely staff and the food is amazing, I went with a couple I met in another restaurant the night before, they took me here as they loved the sangria plus food, I had a pasta dish the 1st night and it was delicious, I went back on my... More

Went here for a romantic meal. Decided to have the mozzarella salad at 9.50 euros for the main course. This was very disappointing as it was just 5 slices of tomato with 5 slices mozzarella on top. The sangria was very watery. Would not recommend this as overpriced. This should have been a starter not a main course.

I would not recommend this restaurant at all. The waitress is extremely rude!! The food was ok but nothing special. There are far nicer restaurants just along the seafront.

Loved having breakfast or lunch on this square. Or even dinner. Or cocktails. Heck...ice cream as well. Love the friendly vibe, the livelyness, the food and drinks. You'll always be treated good in one of the Grupo Compostelana-places around. Or just hang around by the fountain watching people...it's all good.

We stumbled on this cafe by accident and enjoyed some really good cakes at very reasonable prices i.e. €3.10 for a huge piece of strawberry gateau. The coffees were good at €2.15 for a latte or cappuccino and €2.10 for a small beer. The place was let down a bit though by its toilets.

This old café is in position A in the Plaza del Charco, right on the corner with Calle Quintana. Brollies and red checked tablecloths set the scene, lit up at night. Food is OK, some of it brought in from their other outlets. Kitchen limited. Service can be beyond slow.
