Really good food, simple but vv tasty and friendly and attentive service. We started with the tuna salad and prawns - both excellent and perfect size. We had the pork with onions , succulent (which can be difficult to keep with pork tenderloin) and lovely...spicing, with the best potatoes in Puerto , scrumptious delicate spicy sauted ones. One house version of mille feuille between two to finish. A bottle of Canadian wine recommended by the waiter lovely accompaniment. Will return to this restaurant!More

We love this small and cosy traditional restaurant. The homemade croquettes are simply delicious, infact I have never tried anything on their menu that wasn't delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

A relatively small family run restaurant. Not over-large menu. Food served simply, but well. Quality superb. Quantity spot on, enabling you to eat a full meal, although beware the size of the desserts. If you want to eat in the 8.00pm region - book, or...you are likely to be disappointed. Outside tables are in a pedestrianised road. Great for people watching whilst you eat, and sheltered from the prevailing wind.More

There are a ton of great restaurants in Puerto, but this is definitely right up there for us. We'd head down to Calle Mequinez every Friday evening, and it was always tough to choose where to have dinner, but every time we ate at Bodega...Julian, we wondered why we didn't come more frequently. We tried several different dishes, but now routinely order the peppers, the patatas bravas, and the lamb dish (can't remember the exact name off the top of my head, sorry). It's always busy here, so if you walk by and see an available table, just snag it - you won't regret it.More

Special restaurant. Very good and varied food. Nice operation. After we served the food, the host and the lady played with song and music. Recommended.

It must be about 5 years ago that we last went here, when it was #1 in Puerto. Everything was the same, including the meal that we all ordered, inadvertently it has to be said, so the menu has not changed. Nor has the delightful...singing and guitar interlude by the boss and his wife halfway through the proceedings. Still busy but everything was heavily laden with paprika and the mains were a bit disappointing. So down to 4 from 5.More

This was our second visit to Bodega Julian, having visited it on a previous trip to Puerto 3 years ago. Whenever you go back to a place , there is always the fear that it might not be as good second time around. Bodega Julian...however did not disappoint . The food was excellent, the service polite, friendly and prompt and the ambience convivial . Just as with our first visit, the owner at one stage took a break from serving , got out his guitar and sang a lovely number which met with rapturous applause. We had the lamb for main course which was deliciously done with a paprika sauce . For dessert we had the house special and the mango mouse - both delicious . Please bear in mind this place does get booked out . It caters for only 3 or 4 dozen diners at one time. So plan your visit by booking in advance if you want to be sure to avoid disappointment.More
