The location and the restaurant is just beautiful. But the foods are just the biggest disappointment of all time. Just a drink in the afternoon there will be good. Skip the meal people!

Dear visitor, Thank you very much for your comment, the opinion of our customers helps us to improve day by day. César Manrique built this space at Castillo de San José thinking on a place to relax contemplating the horizon; a place where the visitor could feel as if he was eating in a cruise at the open sea. César... More

Something I love from Lanzarote food is quality, simplicity and taste. Starters are great here; but main dishes are unnecessary sophisticated. The filling of dried fruits of the lamb was not appropriate. We could fill it in the stomach for hours...

Lanzarote is probably one of the most surreal corners of Europe, a classy outpost of Spain a mere 100 miles off the coast of the Sahara, which is not too crowded, has little traffic, a fine food tradition and surprisingly to some, a fine artistic tradition courtesy of the prolific genius of Cesar Manrique. This is a spectacular cafe with a... More

I visited this restaurant twice during a recent holiday in Lanzarote. Firstly with my partner, and then with my partner and father. On both occasions we had a tapas lunch. The setting is fantastic, underneath the Castillo de San Jose, with all round window views of the harbour. It's a Manrique design so you'll know what it will be like.... More

This great restaurant under the art gallery is a pearl in the island. The food superb, 7 course of tapas and drinks for reasonable fixed price. Very clear allergy labelling if needed. much better than the average fish restaurants on the island.

Hard to get to with all the road works, go round on the motorway bypass and not through the town is the easiest. Worth the trip, food very reasonable and good quality in a funky style restaurant in the side of the castle. The ladies loo has the best view in town ! Views from the restaurant though panoramic are... More

A government attraction with a restaurant? Surely that's going to be a let down right? WRONG. The thing is, the food in most of the Government run attractions on the island (Timanfaya, Cactus garden etc) is both subsidised and pretty good. This one though is the jewel in the crown. located in the basement under the modern art gallery above... More

This restaurant is hidden below the ancient Castle (Castillo San José) which houses a small, but fascinating museum/art gallery, and occasionally has out-door exhibitions in the front. Down the staircase to the left of the building - look carefully at the staircase, it has to be the most beautiful external staircase in the world! - is the Restaurant. It has... More
